      • Preparation of Submicron- and Nanometer-Sized Particles of Y2O3:Eu3+ by Flame Spray Pyrolysis Using Ultrasonic and Two-Fluid Atomizers

Purwanto, Agus,Lenggoro, I. Wuled,Chang, Hankwon,Okuyama, Kikuo The Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan 2006 Journal of chemical engineering of Japan Vol.39 No.1

<P>Submicron- and nanometer-sized red luminescent particles (Y2O3:Eu3+) were successfully generated by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) and the effect of the type of the atomizer, i.e., the ultrasonic nebulizer (UN) and the two-fluid nozzle (TFN) sprayer, on the particle characteristics was investigated. The prepared particles were characterized by field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), an X-ray diffractometry (XRD) analysis and spectrophotometry. UN-FSP produced non aggregated particles with a mean diameter of 754 nm and the relative photoluminescence (PL) intensity (ratio of emission intensity of generated particles to that of commercial particles) varied from 0.36 to 1.01. The Y2O3:Eu3+ particles generated by TFN-FSP were softly agglomerated with a mean diameter of 24 nm and the relative PL intensity ranged from 0.21 to 0.24. Regardless of the type of the atomizer used, the generated particles were dense and spherical in the cubic phase and highly crystalline. These results show that TFN-FSP is a versatile method of producing Y2O3:Eu3+ nanometer-sized particles compared with UN-FSP.</P>

Simple and Sensitive Paper-based Colorimetric Biosensor for Determining Total Polyphenol Content of the Green Tea Beverages

        Mochammad Amrun Hidayat,Diah Ayu Maharani,Djoko Agus Purwanto,Bambang Kuswandi,Mochammad Yuwono 한국생물공학회 2020 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.25 No.2

A simple paper-based colorimetric biosensor based on immobilized tyrosinase and 3-methyl-2- benzothiazolinone hydrazone (MBTH) was developed for assessing total polyphenol content (TPC) of various green tea beverages. The patterned biosensing zone of the paperbased biosensor showed a sensitive response to catechin (a typical green tea polyphenol) by generating pink color adducts that can be captured for further color image analysis using a scanometric method. This color change can be connected to the TPC of the samples. The analytical performance of the biosensor in scanometric set-up was optimized. The biosensor showed a response time of 13 min in the linear range between 0.08-1.03 mM of catechin (r = 0.9979). The detection limit (LOD) of the biosensor was 0.071 mM while reproducibility was found at 3.11% RSD (relative standard deviation). TPC of green tea beverages was assessed by the biosensor, and the results were in accordance with the UV/Vis spectrophotometric method.

The identification of macro nutrient status of superior teak plantation (Tectona grandis Lin.F) by means of DRIS norms (Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System) in Indonesia

        Mochamad Chanan,Suryo Hardiwinoto,Cahyono Agus,Ris Hadi Purwanto,Sugi Purwanta 한국산림과학회 2019 Forest Science And Technology Vol.15 No.1

The improvement in forest productivity by considering the balance of nutrient input-output is the proper choice. This research aimed at investigating the macro nutrient status of a teak plantation in Indonesia. The quantitative measurement of the nutritional status of a plantation was done by picking sample plantations and doing laboratory analysis. The determination of macronutrition status was conducted by means of Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System (DRIS), that is a diagnostic method to measure the balance of nutrients before designing silvicultural treatments. Index analysis on teak has resulted in a macronutrient index (N, P, K, Ca, and Mg); respectively –8.40, –1.70, –4.17, 4.98 and 9.28. The availability levels of nutrients from the highest to the lowest were Mg>Ca>P > K>N. Mg and Ca have shown positive index values; this implies that the nutrients are sufficient. N, K, and P have shown negative index values; this implies that the nutrients are less available, and thus growth-limiting nutrients for teak. It is recommended that silvicultural treatments be conducted on teak by means of balanced nutrient inputs, to be specific N, P, and K to achieve maximum growth of teak.

The Role of Business Capabilities in Supporting Organization Agility and Performance During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Empirical Study in Indonesia

Albert Surya WANASIDA,Innocentius BERNARTO,Niko SUDIBJO,Agus PURWANTO 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.5

This study aims to analyze the important role of business analytics capability, information quality, and innovation capability in influencing organization agility and organization performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data was collected from 76 companies from various sectors in Indonesia. Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis was conducted to analyze the relationship between variables and test a series of hypotheses. Importance-Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA), a useful analysis approach in PLS-SEM, is used, which extends the results of the estimated path coefficient (importance) by adding a dimension that considers the average values of the latent variable scores (performance). The IPMA approach examines not only the performance of an item but also the importance of that item. The results show that business analytics capability has a significant effect on information quality and innovation capability which then affects organization agility. Organizational performance is influenced by organizational agility. IPMA results show that organizational agility has the highest level of impact on organizational performance. This study will assist companies in planning business analytics, improving information quality, increasing innovation capability, and ultimately increasing agility and performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study will add to existing knowledge about previous literature, especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
