La piedad Filial: perspectives cristiana y confuciana

Este articulo se propone el studio de los principales rasgos que definen la piedad filial. Esta relacion, que se establece especialmente entre padres e hijos, constituye un elemento fundamental dentro de la estructura familiar, celula basica de la sociedad. EI autor comienza introduciendo el studio de la piedad filial desde la optica que ensena la tradicion cristiana. De este modo, se estudiaran los elementos constotutivos de estas relaciones familiars desde la perspective cristiana.Las Fuentes principales que se han analizado son la Suma de Teologia de Santo Tomas de Aquino y el Catecismo de la Iglesia Catolica.Posteriormente se comentan algunos rasgos que definen la piedad filial desde la perspective confuciana, tan difundida en Corea,analizando pasajes referidos a la piedad filial en las obras clasicas de Confucio y Mencio, asi como de otros estudios basados en sus obras. A continuacion, se estableceran comparaciones entre los rasgos principales de la piedad filial que hemos podido localizak en ambas perspectives, senalando tanto similitudes como divergencias entre ambas perspectives. Como conclusion se podria senalar que,mientras la relacion paterno-filial en el confuciannismo se basa mas en el amor-justicia, en el cristianismo se incide mas en el amor-donacion.A consecuencia de estas diversas concepciones, se producen respuestas diferentes, que intentan corresponder a esa deuda moviendose en el amibito de la justicia, o bien como respuesta amorosa a esa donacion, en un contexto de libertad.
Paremias espaNolas sobre el pan

El autor pretende en este trabajo analizar las paremias referidas al pan, uno de los elementos basicos en la dieta espaNola, que ademas, ha configurado -y continua haciendolo- la vida de las gentes. Mas de trescientas paremias se han manejado para la preparacion de este trabajo. Nos hemos basado en gran medida en el Refranero multilingue publicado en la pagina web del Centro Virtual Cervantes. Para su estudio, se agrupan las paremias teniendo en cuenta su contenido, no su forma. En el primer grupo se hallan las que aluden al pan como elemento que configura en cierto modo la sociedad hispana; el segundo, contiene las paremias relativas al pan como como elemento basico de la dieta, barato y necesario, incluso cuando esta duro, y que combina ademas perfectamente con otros alimentos; y, por ultimo, el tercer grupo engloba las paremias cuyo eje referencial es el pan como imagen del comportamiento humano, tanto de virtudes como de defectos del ser humano.
Social media impact in the Match: A survey of current trends in the United States

Background Applicants to integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery (PRS) residency in the United States spend exorbitant amounts of time and money throughout the interview process. Outside of first-hand experience through a visiting rotation, applicants utilize various resources in learning about a program. Today's applicants are "Millennials," the demographic cohort raised during the information age and proficient with digital technology. The authors evaluated whether programs have a presence on social media, and whether applicants are following these accounts. Methods An online survey was sent to applicants to a single integrated plastic surgery program evaluating basic demographics, social media utilization, and sources of information accessed throughout the residency application process. A manual search of popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) was performed in October 2019. Accounts affiliated with integrated PRS programs were identified and analyzed. Results Eighty-four of 222 applicants (37.8%) completed the survey. Ninety-six percent of applicants were within the Millennial demographic. Ninety-six percent of applicants had some form of social media presence, with Facebook (90%) and Instagram (87%) being the most popular platforms. Seventy-three percent of applicants reported following a PRS residency social media account. As of October 2019, 59 integrated residency programs (73%) have active Instagram accounts. Conclusions Applicants still rely on the program website when researching potential residencies, but social media is being rapidly adopted by programs. Program social media accounts should be used as a dynamic form of communication to better inform applicants of program strengths and weaknesses.

<P>A measurement is presented of the t (t) over bar production cross section (sigma(t (t) over bar)) in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, in the all-jet final state that contains at least six jets, two of which are tagged as originating from b quarks. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3.54 fb(-1), collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The cross section is determined through an unbinned maximum likelihood fit of background and t (t) over bar signal to the reconstructed mass spectrum of t (t) over bar candidates in the data, in which events are subjected to a kinematic fit assuming a t (t) over bar -> W(+)bW(-)(b) over bar -> 6 jets hypothesis. The measurement yields sigma(t (t) over bar) = 139 +/- 10 (stat.) +/- 26 (syst.) +/- 3 (lum.) pb, a result consistent with those obtained in other t (t) over bar decay channels, as well as with predictions of the standard model.</P>
