The efficiency of material flow systems in terms of optimal network flow and minimum cost flow has always been an important design and operational goal in material handling and distribution system. In this research, an attempt was made to develop a new algorithm and the model to solve a stochastic material flow network with bidirectional and uncertain flows. A stochastic material flow network with bidirectional flows can be considered from a finite set with unknown demand probabilities of each node. This problem can be formulated as a special case of a two-stage linear programming problem which can be converted into an equivalent linear program. To find the optimal solution of proposed stochastic material flow network, some terminologies and algorithms together with theories are developed based on the partitioning and subgradient techniques. A computer program applying the proposed method was developed and was applied to various problems.
Neuro-Fuzzy GMDH Model and Its Application to Forecasting of Mobile Communication

In this paper, the fuzzy group method data handling-type(GMDH) neural networks and their application to the forecasting of mobile communication system are described. At present, GMDH family of modeling algorithms discovers the structure of empirical models and it gives only the way to get the most accurate identification and demand forecasts in case of noised and short input sampling. In distinction to neural networks, the results are explicit mathematical models, obtained in a relative short time. In this paper, an adaptive learning network is proposed as a kind of neuro-fuzzy GMDH. The proposed method can be reinterpreted as a multi-stage fuzzy decision rule which is called as the neuro-fuzzy GMDH. The GMDH-type neural networks have several advantages compared with conventional multi-layered GMDH models. Therefore, many types of nonlinear systems can be automatically modeled by using the neuro-fuzzy GMDH. The computer program is developed and successful applications are shown in the field of estimating problem of mobile communication with the number of factors considered.
일반거리산정방법을 이용한 다-물류센터의 최적 수송경로 계획 모델

This study is focussed on an optimal vehicle routing model for multi-supply centers in two-echelon logistic system. The aim of this study is to deliver goods for demand sites with optimal decision. This study investigated an integrated model using step-by-step approach based on relationship that exists between the inventory allocation and vehicle routing with restricted amount of inventory and transportations such as the capability of supply centers, vehicle capacity and transportation parameters. Three sub-models are developed: 1) sector-clustering model, 2) a vehicle-routing model based on clustering and a heuristic algorithm, and 3) a vehicle route scheduling model using TSP-solver based on genetic and branch-and-bound algorithm. Also, we have developed computer programs for each sub-models and user interface with visualization for major inputs and outputs. The application and superior performance of the proposed model are demonstrated by several sample runs for the inventory-allocation and vehicle routing problems.
Make-or-buy Decision Model Using Fuzzy-AHP Method for School Foodservice System

Recently a multi-attribute structure analysis method is one of the evident areas of important points in the decision support system analysis. This research developed an internet/intranet-based solution builder for a three-step decision support system using fuzzy-AHP in the view of 1) brainstorming for the idea generation, 2) fuzzy-AHP (fuzzy analytic hierarchy process) as a multi-attribute structured analysis method and 3) aggregation logic model to integrate the results of individual analysis. We applied this decision support system to the make-or-buy decision problem for school foodservice system considering the multi-attributes in the decision making. A computer program is developed and demonstrated in internet/intranet-based decision problem. It was known that this solution builder provides decision makers a good tool for make-or-buy group decision making.
A Supplier Selection Model Based on Fuzzy-AHP

Supplier selection problem is a multi-criteria decision problem which includes evaluation factors. For this problem it is crucial to considering the both qualitative and quantitative evaluation factors simultaneously. In this paper we suggest a decision analysis method for supplier selection problem considering both by AHP method and integration method of analysis results. First, we develop a decision analysis model using fuzzy-HP method. It is a three-step decision analysis model which converts the qualitative factors of suppliers into the quantitative measure, reliability. Then, we develop an integration model that integrates the results of multi-analysts results so select the best supplier. We develop a computer program for both the AHP model and for integration model. We validate this model by applying in a third party logistics problem.
