Purpose: ‘LRP (Language Rehabilitation Program)’ is a tablet application to improve linguistic ability of patients with aphasia. In this study, we applied the app to children with Specific Language Impairment (SLI) and examined the effect on naming and explaining definition (semantic representation). Methods: The participants were three 6 year-old children with SLI. Intervention program was semantic feature treatment using LRP app, and it was conducted in total 18 sessions. We evaluated the children"s naming and semantic representation ability on 40 intervention vocabulary and 20 non-intervention vocabulary from 4 categories using a pretest-posttest design. Results: Semantic feature treatment using LRP app had positive influence on naming of intervention, non-intervention vocabulary and semantic representation ability of children with SLI. In addition, children with SLI were able to learn the strategy systemizing various definitions based on semantic feature analysis. The study result suggested that semantic feature treatment using tablet app, LRP can be applied effectively as a solution of major problems of children with SLI.
