Purpose: to assess peripheral neuropathy which affects negative impact on the quality of lives of cancer patients. Method: From October 1, to November 5, 2012. 138 patients admitted at 1 hospital in Busan and 1 in Ulsan with questionnaires. Results: The highest incidence in sensory symptom of peripheral neuropathy was tingling in hand’(73.2%), and then, tingling in feet, in motor symptom, muscle weakness(62.3%). The highest severity in sensory symptom was ‘Tingling feeling in the foot , and in motor symptom, muscle or joint pain . The highest distress in sensory symptom was ‘Tingling feeling in the foot , and. in exercise symptom, muscle or joint pain . The highest frequency in sensory symptom was ‘tingling feeling in the foot , and in motor, muscle or joint pain . The highest Daily life-interference in manual dexterity was ‘lifting things, and in general activities, exercise. The time of occurrence, severity of peripheral neuropathy and interference of daily activities had differnces according to characteristics of subjects. Conclusion: hand and feet was most fragile areas in peripheral neuropathy. And the daily activities of subjects were interferenced by peripheral neuropathy. Therefore, it is needed to development and apply the intervention method for managing the peripheral neuropathy.

This paper studied the difference between brain waves and pulse waves according to various sound sources. An experiment was conducted to find out the difference between the brain wave and the pulse wave according to the frequency of the sound source and to find out the relationship. As a result, although there are differences depending on the person, the result showed that the sound source with a lot of low frequencies maintains relatively more stability than the sound source with a lot of high frequencies.
스마트폰 카메라를 이용한 손가락 PPG 데이터 추출 시 색 공간에 대한 비교 분석 연구

본 논문은 스마트폰의 카메라를 구성하는 이미지센서와 함께 구성되어 있는 조명용 LED 를 이용하여 LED 의 확산 반사 손가락 동영상을 기반으로 PPG 데이터를 추출함에 있어 다양한 색 공간 및 변이에 대한 비교 연구이다. 이를 통한 영상기반 PPG 데이터는 심박변이도 등을 추출할 수 있으며, 스트레스, 심혈관 기능 등을 분석할 수 있다. 동영상에서 추출되는 혈관의 변화를 통한 PPG 추출을 위하여 사용되는 색상의 변화는 RGB, YCbCr, HSV 의 색 공간에 따라 변화를 사용하였으며 정확한 데이터 추출을 위한 다양한 비교, 분석을 연구하였다.
영양교육프로그램이 항암화학요법을 받는 소화기암환자의 오심구토, 식욕부진, 식이섭취 및 영양상태에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of nutritional education program (NEP) on nausea and vomiting, anorexia, food intake, and nutritional status among GI cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: A nonequivalent, non-synchronized posttest design was used. Study subjects were conveniently selected 30 patients (15 subjects for each group) who were undergoing chemotherapy. The subjects of the experimental group received NEP which consisted of 2 educations and 1 counselling while they were hospitalized, and telephone counselling with nutritional supports after discharge for four times. Results: The score of anorexia was lower and the amount of food intake was higher in the experimental group than those of the control group. However, there were no significant differences in levels of nausea and vomiting, weight, hemoglobin, albumin, and total protein level between the experimental and the control group. Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that the NEP was effective in alleviating anorexia and improving subjective food intake of GI cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. These findings suggest that NEP can be a useful nursing intervention for preventing nutritional disorders for patients with GI cancer after chemotherapy.
