In general direct-operated pressure reducing valves have been hardly applied to a dynamic control system such as active suspension control because of their poor control stability. But they are more robust than pilot-operated type and do not need control flow. In this paper<br/> development of a new direct-operated proportional pressure reducing valve which designed for<br/> low-band type active suspension control is reported. By means of a special damper directly I inked to the valve spool, the control stabili ty could be effectively improved without dral<back in response time. The I ineari ty error was less than ± 3.5 %. Applied to an experimental active suspension system the new valve showed the -900 phase delay at 4 Hz with<br/> 2o% sinusoidal signal input and could control the suspension system with almost same performance as that with a pilot-operated type valve.<br/>

Low-band type active suspension system is implemented on a passenger car. Level. roll. pitch and bouncing motion of body is controlled by a digital controller. Sky-hook damper is applied to control bouncing motion. This paper describes overall construction of the system. design of hydraulic system. sensor system. controller and control scheme. Performance of prototype car has been evaluated on a test track and reported in second paper.<br/>

The pumps of electro-hydrostatic actuators operate most frequently in boundary lubrication speed range, as they compensate for position control errors as a control element. When conventional swash plate type piston pumps are applied to electro-hydrostatic actuators, the frictional power losses as well as wear rate of sliding components such as piston shoes can increase drastically under the boundary friction condition. In this paper, the power losses of the piston shoes were investigated which were brought about by frictional solid-to-solid contact and leakage flow rate of their hydrostatic bearing. In order to reduce them, DLC-coating was applied to the swash plate and the ball joint of pistons, and its effects was demonstrated. In addition, it was also shown that the wear rate of the piston shoes could be markedly reduced using the DLC-coated swash plate.

This paper details application of a DLC(Diamond Like Carbon)-coating to the swash plate and the ball joint of pistons that make sliding contact with the piston shoes of an axial piston pump. This process, aimed to reduce the frictional and leakage power losses of the hydrostatic piston shoe bearings at the low speed range. At lower speeds than 100rpm, the positive effects of the DLC-coating on the power loss reduction of the hydrostatic piston shoe bearings could be confirmed. These effects resulted in little improvement in volumetric efficiency of the test pump, but the mechanical efficiency could be raised by up to 5% at 100rpm; here, the DLC-coated swash plate played a more dominant role than the DLC-coated ball joint.
[論文] 승용차의 Single Wheel에 대한 Antilocking-Brake-System의 구성 및 Test Rig을 이용한 제동실험

In this study an antilocking-brake-system was set up for the single wheel of passenger cars. The control algorithm for the system was programmed by C-language and excuted by a 16 bit personal computer, which took the role of an electronic control unit. The performance of the antilockingbrake-system was tested using a test rig, which was specially designed and built up for the simulation of braking on the slippery road. The test results were satisfactory. Althogh the simulation method of the friction characteristics between the tire and the contact surface on the test rig appeared not to be absolutely suitable, the test rig allowed the basic investigation of the influence of the antilocking brake control on the wheel slip.
