This paper was showed evaluation method and technical items for measurement test of new catenary system of Honam(Daejeon~Mokpo) conventional railway electrified. This line have tested by three type new electric rolling stocks in order to test construction quality and operation safety of a new catenary system with speed-up than conventional speed. We have some important experiences through measurement test of catenary system by new device installed on train roof.

Protective equipments have a very important protection role in power accident on catenary line. These equipments are installed on electrical pole. The poles have complicated with many bands(moveable bracket, branch wire anchor, shield wire, etc). So we have improved bands and installed bands on pole to test technical condition. The Result has showed effectiveness due to fixed position change of fault protective wire and to improve band shape. For example, reduction of band made cost, simplification of installing, correct position of protective wire and shield wire.
중저속 자기부상열차에 적용 가능한 급전레일에 대한 검토

MAGLEV(Magnetic Levitation) with Middle-low speed be classified as a kind of LRT(Light Rail Transit) in KOREA. Also this vehicle has adopted LIM propulsion method. The MAGLEV has adopted LIM type in operational or developing model in the world. The power rail of LIM is very similar with the 3th rail of LRT in the functional property but the structure and shape of power rail is different with that. WE have to search the optimal power rail system for Korean MAGLEV vehicle. In this paper, we suggest the conceptual design and direction of design for power rail of Korean MAGLEV developing.
