        We are able to see the specific artistic order in Korea traditional arts which was built through long period. That is not only stands for the beauty closed up in the Korean society but also systematical orders in the creative conceptions. This kind of order has a thread of connection with the arts of western styles which are based on systematical approaches and functional designs and the constructural modernism. These Korea traditional arts especially shapes of lattics, patterns of small wrapping clothes, etc. have been used from very moment of their creations up to now to the our real life so we could regard them that these are attracitive to human mind and have some general values in terms of formal art. So, we might be reach to the analysis of the artistic theory which supporting the universities. In this research, I would like to have a formal analyse with a systematical approach method. The subject of this study might be Korean traditional arts which are in existence up to now and the final goal of this might be to draw out s general asthetic view. I set up the subject of this study on the Korean traditional plastic art so as that I could have more understanding on the specific personality of Koreans, especially perceptions on the forms, including myself. Also, I realise that I should sort out the order and perception of the Korean original beauty which can be seen on the Korean art not through the usual methods of approach ideologically or subjectively toward Korean styles of asthetic view but systematically with the objectivity and the structural fomula. Because we have betteridea of living standards, experiences and the sence of value, so, we are able to for see the traditional art in a new view point, therefore, we have to consider what we could abtain from its result and how we could reflect it to today`s art. In this study, I have a definition of the background and specific points of Korean traditional art, its diversity afterwards. And with this definition I would like to make it clear the boundary of the art and methods of the sampling, in addition, I am going to classify and arrange the art which was give from photographs. On account of limited space, I would rather stretch my study to the classification of art and I will leave more analysis on the specific characteristics which is shown in the formal art next time.

      • 기하학적 형태 : 시각적 효과에 관한 연구 Study on the Visual Effect

        Geometrical forms has been developed diversely after the movement of cubism which came out as a new attempt of the formative art as found in early 20th century. When its development process is characteristically looked into through its form and composition ① in the beginning, the conceptional expression was found by geometrical forms. This was resulted by the major assumption that concrete forms of the nature called as the revival of realities were tried to be expressed. And then diversified formative methods came out, expressing the geometrical them, ② one of the methods is that to choose the geometrical forms as its element and construct it sensually and freely or ③ mathematically-this pursues not only the geometrical form as its elements but also applies its method mathematically by having systematic order. Many work done by this method had been pure mathematical formative arts which pursue the beauty of forms as seen in the works like Max·Bill and Rose... On the other hand, ④ there had been a tendency to pursue special effects that had utilized the nature of the geometrical forms superbly. The use of methods stated above have continued till today and many diversified forms have also been developed. Among them, the characteristic of the period that emerged the shape of systematical geometrical forms of ③ is the development of new formative rules. That is, in this period, new effectively the formative language of geometrical forms can be mixed. While the study of ③ was the pursuit of general issues, characteristic of study of ④ was the development of special visual efferts and methods of the forms that can be utilizing geometrical forms. The field of forms of ④ is very bright in the future as it demonstrates special that are difficult to be expressed by other forms. In this context, the present study will examine the forms of ④. That is, the works of ④ have been collected and classified into 5 categories according to their characteristics. And then the visual effects of each work have been analyzed. I hope that this study can be used as fundamental materials on the study of development of geometrical forms in future.

      • 제7차 교육과정에 따른 교과서 편집디자인 분석 및 개선방향

        Due to the rapidly changing situation, junior high school curriculum needs new and innovative changes. Thus, in January 1999, Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development announced the Seventh National School Curriculum for the junior high school textbook which would be used from 2001. The Seventh National School Curriculum requires the change from 'monotonous editing system centering on the textbook' to 'various editing system centering on the curriculum.' Even though new textbook necessarily is faithful to its original contents, the role of editing design which gives visual effect to the textbook is also getting important. This study presents the analysis and evaluation of the textbooks on mathematics 7 AB for junior high school, depending on the Seventh National School Curriculum. From the result of this study, much more development has been examined with the effort to observe the new national school curriculum that Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development announced. Still, the new school curriculum has several things to be improved. Thus, this study also presents the improvement plan for these problems. According to these improvement plan, new textbooks are expected to be published with more developed editing technique. 급변하는 시대적 상황은 중학교 교육과정에도 새롭고 혁신적인 것을 요구하게 되었다. 이러한 시대적 상황에서 교육부는 1999년 1월, 2001년부터 사용하는 중학교 교과서의 제 7차 교육 과정 안을 발표하였다. 제 7차 교육과정은 종래의 전통적인 교과서가 추구하던 “교과서 중심, 단조로운 편집”에서 “교육과정 중심, 다양한 편집체제”로의 변화를 요구하고 있다. 새로운 교과서가 교과 내용면에서 충실해야 하는 것은 당연하지만, 그 교과내용에 시각적 질서를 부여하는 편집디자인의 역할 또한 중요하다 할 것이다.본 연구에서는 제 7차 교육과정에 의거한 중학교 수학 교과서 7 가나 교과서를 분석 및 평가하였다. 그 결과 대다수의 교과서가 교육부의 교육과정안을 준수하도록 노력하였으며 6차보다 많은 발전이 있었다. 그러나 한편으로는 개선해야 될 점도 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 그 문제점에 대한 개선안을 제시하였다. 앞으로 편찬되는 새 교과서에는 제시된 개선안 등을 참고하여 더욱 발전된 편집에 대한 기대를 해본다.

      • 基礎디자인에 관한 硏究

        The demands of design are increasing, gradually according to advance of the industrialized society. In this process, the field of design is divided and specialized into multiple purpose. The fields of modern-design make much of basic design and suddenly have a tendency of independence as a specialized research field in recent. In the modern design, basic design was taken a consideration and acknowledged as a independent specialized field, the meaning and method of its term was little well-known to the people and was not agreed on the opinions among professionals of this field. It is a transitionary phenomenon because this theory is remain in growing stage. Therefore, its term was often used synoym as "basic plastic art" or "composition". In this point, the first chapter in this article described the meaning of basic design and it's position, importance and function in the modern design, and also approaches the purpose of study. In the following chapter, introduced contents and methods of education of basic design of Bauhaus and finally introduced the contents of education process and education methods as a independent specialized field with the cases of related universities in the Japan.       • 수학적 형태Ⅰ : Its development based on modernism 모더니즘을 배경으로 한 전개양상의 고찰

        In modern times, systematic patterns have become popular as geometrical patterns are adapted to all fields of plastic arts, and systematic mathematical patterns are widely applied in the domain of design. In the beginning of 20th century, modern arts had accepted the mathematical pattern as one of the elements in plastic arts, and even the methods of constructing plastic arts had developed in mathematical way. These trends have become the foundation of modern design. In the respect, this study will be focused on the mathematical patterns developed based on modernism, and further will show the geometrical patterns of 20th century as the essential element of plastic arts, which began with pour geometrical non-objective arts. That is, this study will show how geometrical non-objective arts have been developed towards concrete arts, define mathematical concept, and also examine the relation or linkage between the mathematical patterns and concept of design.
