과학적 개념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의 활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력과 언어표현력에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 과학적 개념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의 활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력과 언어표현력에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전라북도 J시에 소재한 K 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 39명(실험집단 20, 비교집단 19)을 선정하였다. 실험집단 유아를 대상으로 과학적 개념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의활동을 12주 동안 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 과학적 개념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의활동은 유아의 과학적 탐구능력에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 과학적 개 념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의활동은 유아의 언어표현력에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 과학적 개념이 포함된 그림책을 통한 토의활동이 유아의 과학적 개념 뿐만 아니라 언어표현력에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 활동임을 시사해준다 고 하겠다. The goal of this study is to take a look at the effect on young children’s scientific inquiry abilities and verbal expression skills which discussion activities with picture books containing scientific concepts affect. For this study, five-year-old 39 young children (experimental group 20, comparative group 19), who are attending K kintergarten which is located at J city of Jollabukdo, are selected. For the experimental group of young children, the discussion activities with using picture books containing scientific concepts have been performed for twelve weeks. The result of study has revealed followings; First, discussion activities with picture books containing scientific concepts resulted in a positive effect on young children’s scientific inquiry abilities. Second, discussion activities with picture books containing scientific concepts resulted in a positive effect on verbal expression skills. These results suggest that discussion activities with picture books containing scientific concepts are those of affecting positive impacts on not only young children’s scientific concepts but also their verbal expression skills.

지속가능발전 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 유아의 자연환경 감수성과 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 지속가능발전 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 유아의 자연환경 감수성과 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 있다. 연구대상은 전라북도 G시에 소재한 H유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세의 유아 39명(실험집단 19명, 비교집단 18명)으로 선정하였다. 실험집단 유아를 대상으로 지속가능발전의 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동을 12주 동안 실시하였고, 비교집단에는 누리과정 지도서에 제시된 지속가능발전 관련 활동을 실시하였다. 결과분석을 위하여 독립표본 t-test와 공변량 분석(ANCOVA: Analysis of Convariance)을 실시하였으며, 통계적 분석은 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 지속가능발전 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 유아의 자연환경 감수성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지속가능발전 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 유아의 환경친화적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 지속가능발전 내용이 포함된 그림책을 활용한 토의활동이 유아의 자연환경 감수성과 환경친화적 태도 증진을 위한 효과적인 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사해준다. Objective: The purpose of this study was to suggest the effects of discussion activities based on education for sustainable development to children’s natural environment and environment-friendly attitude. Methods: The subjects of the study were 39 children in H kindergarten located in G city, and the discussion activities for young children connected with sustainable development were conducted through 12 weeks. For the statistical analysis of the data collected, the t-test and the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) were conducted using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: As a result, the experimental group children of which the discussion activities based on education for sustainable development for young children scored high in the sensibility of natural environment. And also, the experimental group children of which discussion activities based on education for sustainable development scored high in children’s natural environment-friendly attitude. Conclusion/Implications: This suggests that the discussion activities based on education for sustainable development are needed to improve children’s natural environment and environment-friendly attitude.
