본 연구는 유아건강교육에 대해 어린이집 교사의 개념도를 분석해 봄으로써 교사의 유아건강교육 내용을 결정하는데 기초가 되는 교사의 지식을 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 보육교사 40명을 대상으로 유아건강교육에 대한 개념도를 작성하도록 하고 이를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 보육교사의 유아건강교육에 대한 개념은 건강, 안전, 영양 등을 가장 중요하게 생각하고 있었다. 둘째, 건강, 영양, 예방, 안전의 순으로 종속개념이 많았고, 건강, 예방, 안전의 순으로 특성점수가 높게 나타났다. 정신건강과 관련된 개념은 적게 나타났다. 셋째, 밀도는 1.80-8.71로 개인별 편차가 많이 났으나 75%가 4.00미만으로 나타났다. 또한 연수 횟수가 증가할수록 유아건강교육에 대한 개념이 위계적이고 통합적으로 발달하는 양상을 보였다. 신체적 건강의 개념이 신체적 측면뿐 아니라 사회적, 정신적 건강의 개념까지 확장되고 있으므로 교사들이 정신건강에 대해 이해하고 이를 교육에서 실천할 수 있도록 반복적인 연수를 제공할 필요가 있다. Based on Novak and Gowin (1984) concept map, this study examined the number of upper categories, subcategories, characteristics, hierarchy and density of teachers’ knowledge. Participants included 40 teachers who drew a concept map about health education for 1 hour. The results totaled 146 upper categories used in the teachers’ concept map with the most frequently used upper category of ‘health’, followed by ``prevention``, ``safety``, and ``basic lifestyle``. When the top 10 upper categories were analyzed in terms of their hierarchies, number of subcategory and specificity measure it was found that the hierarchy in ``prevention`` was the highest, followed by ``health``, and ``basic lifestyle``. The highest subcategory was ``health``, followed by ``nutrition`` and ``prevention``; the highest specificity measure was ``health`` followed by ``prevention`` and ``safety``. The density degree ranged between 1.80-8.71 and were significantly different according to the frequency of health education. These results can be meaningful to decide the contents of teacher education.
