웨스 앤더슨 감독의 애니메이션 영화 연출 분석: 〈개들의 섬〉을 중심으로

웨스 앤더슨은 「카예 뒤 시네마」의 비평가들이 만든 용어인 작가주의 감독의 전형적인 예이다. 그는 뚜렷한 세계관과 시각적 특징을 가지고 있으며 실사영화뿐만 아니라 애니메이션 영화도 다수 연출하였다. 그의 연출적 특징인 독특한 시각적 이미지, 비현실적인 캐릭터, 악명높은 대칭구성과 평면구성은 그의 영화를 인공적인 애니메이션처럼 보이는 이유가 되었다. 두 번째 애니메이션 영화 〈개들의 섬〉에서는 실사 영화보다 덜 제한적이고 상상력을 발휘할 좋은 기회임에도 과도한 연출을 피하고 자신의 일관된 스타일을 유지하였다. 하지만 강렬한 찰나의 순간을 만들고자 수평이 기울어진 더치 앵글을 사용하여 감독이 즐겨 사용하는 대칭구성의 예외를 두었다. 평면구성을 연출하기 위한 미니어처 배우의 근접촬영은 렌즈에 피사체가 가까이 있을수록 심도가 얕아지는 문제가 발생된다. 이러한 기술적인 문제를 해결하기 위해 캐릭터를 따로 분리하여 촬영하는 번거로움도 있었다. 개들의 재치 있는 표현과 발성 연기, 동화 같은 아름다운 풍경을 만들어내는 석양의 다양한 색채, 리듬에 맞춘 계산된 편집과 유머를 통한 감정조절은 〈개들의 섬〉의 암울한 현실 속에 비극과 희극의 독특한 조화를 만들어냈다. 〈개들의 섬〉은 작가주의 감독의 작품으로 희귀성을 지니며 디즈니, 픽사 스타일로 채워진 애니메이션 업계에 다양한 시도를 독려할 수 있다. Wes Anderson is a classic example of the filmmaker that the Cahiers du cinéma critics labeled an auteur. He has a distinct worldview and visual characteristics and has produced animated films as well as live-action films. It makes his film looks artificial with unique visual images, unrealistic characters, notorious symmetry composition, and planimetric composition. His directing characteristics were consistent with freedom and restriction in 〈Isle of Dogs〉. To create an intense moment, he used the Dutch angle with exceptions to the director"s signature symmetry composition. Also, there were technical difficulties in filming small miniature actors to create a plane composition of the director. It makes a unique harmony of tragedy and comedy by Dogs" witty expressions and vocal performances created comic elements and the colorful colors of the sunset created a fairytale-like landscape, in the grim reality of 〈Isle of Dogs〉. The 〈Isle of Dogs〉 is an auteur work that has a rarity and encourages various attempts in the animation industry full of Disney and Pixar styles.

2015 개정 교육과정의 통합과학 및 통합사회 교과서에 제시된 과학기술관련 사회쟁점 비교분석

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정 통합과학과 통합사회 교과서에 제시된 과학기술관련 사회쟁점(SSI)을 비교분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 통합과학 교과서 5종과 통합사회 교과서 5종을 분석대상으로 하였으며, 교과서에 등장한 SSI 소재를 추출한 후 각 소재를 내용, 제시 관점, 교수학습방법의 세 차원에서 분석해보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교과서에 제시된 SSI 소재는 내용차원에 따라 11가지 영역으로 범주화되었으며, 생명 다양성 보존, 환경오염, 에너지 등의 주제가 빈번하게 제시되 었다. 또한 통합과학과 통합사회 교과서 모두 SSI 소재를 제시함에 있어 개인적, 세계적 수준의 맥락보다는 사회적 맥락에 해당하는 내용을 주로 소개하고 있었다. 둘째, SSI 소재에 드러난 주요 제시관점을 분석한 결과, 통합과학은 환경적, 과학적 관 점을 주로 제시한 반면, 통합사회는 환경적, 사회적, 정책적 관점이 다수를 차지하였다. 셋째, SSI 소재와 관련된 교수학습방법을 분석한 결과, 통합과학과 통합사회 모두 토의토론, 발표, 글쓰기 등의 교실기반 활동이 주를 이루었으며, 학생들의 실천과 참여를 유도하는 교수학습활동은 다소 적은 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구의 결과는 교사들이 효과적인 SSI 수업을 계획하고 진행하는 데 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다. This study aimed to analyze the socioscientific issues (SSI) presented in the 2015 revised integrated science and social studies textbooks, and to compare SSI in terms of contents, perspectives, and instructional activities. Five integrated science textbooks and five integrated social studies textbooks were examined, and SSI topics were extracted from the textbooks and categorized based on the criteria. The results were as follows. First, SSI topics were categorized into 11 content areas, and among them, biodiversity conservation, environmental pollution, and environment-friendly energy development were frequently presented in both science and social studies textbooks. Additionally, integrated science and social studies textbooks introduced SSI largely from societal contexts rather than individual and global contexts. Second, integrated science textbooks mostly emphasized environmental and scientific perspectives, whereas integrated social studies textbooks focused on environmental, social, and political perspectives. Third, both textbooks somewhat limited to provide classroom-based activities such as discussion, presentation, and writing; only few activities lead the students take responsible actions. This study will contribute to the effective use of SSI in classes.
