This paper deal with the capacity of Traction Motor by performing the train performance simulation and the validity of traction motor capacity for Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) through the mainline temperature rising test. The method of the mainline temperature rising test is presented and the results of the test are compared with each regional EMU. Finally, this paper check the capacity of the traction motor of user specification and mention the importance of the optimal selection of the traction motor capacity.

This paper deal with the design concept of traction motor for Bimodal low floor vehicles that are CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) hybrid bus and Fuel-cell bus. The design concept of the traction motor is studied in terms of electrical characteristics and mechanical construction. Finally, this paper introduces the characteristic of the traction motor for low floor vehicles which are applied in the world, and mentioned the detail design concept of traction motor.

This paper deal with the improvement performance and test result of traction motor for Bimodal low floor vehicles that are CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) hybrid bus. The improvement performance concept of the traction motor is studied in terms of electrical characteristics and mechanical construction. Finally, this paper introduces the result of the traction motor test for low floor vehicles, and mentioned the detail design concept of traction motor.

Linear metro with single sided linear induction motor is applied to the urban transit system because of non adhesion drive. But linear induction motor is required to reduce the energy consumption to maximize efficiency of LIM. In this paper, design requirements such as pole pitch, motor length, air gap, overhang length and the material of secondary sheet are investigated as major parameter of SLIM. It is effective for increasing the efficiency to adopt the copper reaction plate and decrease the mechanical air gap as small as possible.

전기 철도 차량은 외부에서 인가되는 서지 이상전압에 노출되어 차량시스템을 이루는 장치의 부품 등에 손상이 가해지면 철도차량의 안전운행을 위한 정상적인 동작이 이루어지지 않게 되어 큰 인적/물적 사고로 이어질 수 있게 되므로 외부로부터 인가되는 서지 이상전압의 효과적인 억제는 매우 중요한 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 이상전압에서의 철도차량용 주 변압기에 나타나는 고주파 전달특성 현상을 단상 1kVA 용량의 전력용 일반 변압기를 이용해 서지 단락 모의시험을 통하여 측정 및 모델링을 예측하고 이러한 현상에 의해 발생하는 결과와 모델링 추정방법이 차량용 주 변압기 적용 시 타당성 여부에 대해 알아보고자 한다. The effective suppression of the overvoltage due to the surge phenomenon is so important as the abnormal electric/electronic equipment damages cause the catastrophic accident in the railway. In this paper, the rail vehicles main transformer high frequency transfer characteristic caused by overvoltage that using the single-phase transformer (1kVA) had surge short circuit test. Measurements and modeling to predict the result of this phenomenon is caused by the estimation method and the model car that you have the main transformer for validity when applied to investigate.
