When visiting a city, it is possible to gauge the level of development of the city by staying at a premium hotel that services the city. In this hotel there is a lot of information that can be acquired, such as the type of people that utilize the hotel and the types of conversation that people have. You can get a mood of the city by observing the activities in the hotel lobby. This means that it is possible to collect data about a city from the hotel. Premium hotels are icons of the present style, an indicator of the wealth of a city, represent the development of a city, and the dynamics of a metropolis, not just a place. Hotels are refuges from the monotony of our daily lives and a window to the rest of the world to natives. Hotels should consider the business and social impact it has on a city, since they provide comfort, luxury, a new experience at an unfamiliar place, and many more unique experience. Hotels are an expansion of the daily life, since they are able to provide level of luxury that is not possible at home. The design world should encompass everything from the entrance to the exit of the hotel. The hotel design is very important and has an extensive role. The design can be used as a strategy device if all design activities transmit the hotel’s message to customers consistently. The design of a hotel should take into consideration the progress that is occurring. Domestic premium hotels have been using different strategies to come up with a unique identity to attract customers. The purpose of this research is a study on different strategies used by hotels from a conceptual and strategic point of view in order to understand the trend of the different design expressions by analyzing domestic premium hotels.
종합병원 로비공간의 유형에 따른 실내조경 특성에 관한 연구

Interior landscaping is the decorative level still now even though it is much more preferred because it functions the mental stability and perceptual easefulness of users of hospitals properly and cannot lead managers and users’ satisfaction. So this study analyzed the types and characteristics of plants which are introduced to interior according to the lobby types of five general hospitals by case focusing on the ones that are located in Seoul and many people gather. First, as for space type because the target places have the characteristics of general hospitals, most of them include the hall type and the complex type in plan composition and multi-layer and the compromise type in the composition of section. Also most of targe places very much received light through windows. But on the other hand, use of the plants and water were built in small space. And they are mostly connected to exterior landscaping or they were partially planted or done in pots. As for stones and soil, most of them tend to put stones (marble) on the floors except one place. According to investigation and analysis of this study, it could be found that the small quantity was introduced compared to the effect of the natural element even though the interior space is large and the quantity of the natural element is comparatively small even though it is prepared. In the future, facilities which actively introduced the natural elements to the interior should be investigated and the in-depth studies on the more realistic interior landscaping which can draw according to them and can introduce should be done.
헌혈 공간 실태분석을 통해 본, 헌혈자 방문율을 높이기 위한 공간 개선방안에 관한 연구

As the Korean medical technology has developed, demands of checkup and medical procedures due to increase of visit to Korea by foreigners and national income have gradually increased. On the other hand, any amount of blood depends on import because its supply is not smooth. Korean supply of blood has depended on group blood donation. But promotion of blood donation in spaces that medical facilities which is specialized in blood gathering like ‘Blood Donation Houses’ are properly prepared is urgent to receive blood of good quality because it is dangerous as there was no proper examination and it has been exposed ot diseases including AIDS. The existing blood donation houses has been monopolistically operated. But as blood donation cafe appeared early in 2000, it has entered the age that marketing should be integrated and space marketing became the means to induce visitors. For this reason, design to consider visitors was the biggest change-point unlike the past that space for blood donation was preferred as remodeling and new places have been established from 2005. Before 2005, blood donation space was forming an ever-greater part of the hospitals and it was the image which focused on function rather than design. On the other hand, after 2005, it has been changed to the space which regards space for consumers’ convenience and comfortable atmosphere of cafe like rest space as important. This shows that the spacial atmosphere contributes to increase the visit rate. Realization of space marketing for visitors including proper space composition which reflects the local characteristics by each branch will very much contribute to the national blood donation projects by increasing the visiting rate of its space.

Effects of oxide film which is grown by heat treatment on the hydrogen embrittlement (HE) of 17-4 PH stainless steel were investigated. Specimems were tensile tested after catholic hydrogen charging and the behaviors of HE were evaluated from the elongation change. It was found that specimems solution treated at 1040℃ for 1/2hour showed best retardation ability to HE for both aging conditions i.e. 480℃×1hr and 620℃×4hrs. X-ray and Auger study revealed that the major composition of oxide films are Cr₂O₃and CuCr₂O₄.
