Stream and groundwater qualities of two rural watersheds in the upper North Han river basin were monitored for 14 months. Six to eight stream sampling sites and two to three groundwater monitoring wells were chosen and water samples were regularly collected and analyzed with respect to total nitrogen (T-N), total phosphorus (T-P) and total suspended solids (TSS). Monitored data were graphically analyzed with respect to time. Rainfall amount and intensity seemed to have an impact on stream T-N and T-P concentration changes. TSS concentrations were generally lower than the first class stream water quality standard. Both stream and groundwater qualities near livestock feetlot areas were degraded, indicating the feedlots have an impact on water quality.

The effects of nonpoint source pollutants from a small agricultural alluvial watershed on groundwater quality were investigated and analyzed in this study. Water quality factors of pH, electric conductivity (EC), total nitrogen (T-N), nitrate nitrogen (NO<sub>3</sub>-N), ammonium nitrate (NH<sub>4</sub>-N), and total phosphorus (T-P) concentrations were monitored at the watershed located in Shinbook-myon, Chunchon, Kangwon-do, Korea for 2 years. Groundwater samples of about 2 liters from 7 to 20 farm wells were regularly collected and analyzed with respect to the water quality factors which were again analyzed with respect to time and land uses of residential, agricultural, livestock feedlot, greenhouse, and natural areas.

RUSLE was applied to estimate annual soil loss from two small agricultural watersheds in Kangwon-do, Korea. GIS input parameters were prepared by using DEMs and soil maps prepared by the NGIS project and Rural Development Administration, respectively. RUSLE parameters were prepared based on existing data and equations. Estimated annual soil loss was graphically presented to easily visualize the large soil loss area. Uplands and vineyards proved to be the two greatest sources for soil erosion. It was suggested to develop effective management practices to reduce the soil erosion from uplands and vineyards.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 일환으로 무선인식(RFID)을 이용한 많은 응용시스템이 개발되고 있으며, 특히 물류산업에 RFID 칩이 널리 보급될 것으로 예측된다 중소업체의 경우 소규모 창고관리에도 비용과 인력 측면에서 어려움을 격고 있는 상황에서 효율적이고 정확한 지능형 창고관리 시스템의 필요성이 절실하다. 본 논문에서는 로그기반 상황인식 기술을 이용하여 소규모 창고관리시스템을 구현한다. RFID 리더기를 제어하는 클라이언트를 구성하고 서버에 DBMS 시스템을 구축하여 웹상에서 운영되는 창고관리시스템을 구현한다. 특히, 시스템 접근 이력에 대한 로그데이터를 토대로 사용자의 입출고 의도를 파악하며, 관리자에게 사용자의 비정규적인 창고사용 패턴을 보고하고 예측 가능한 재고관리 서비스를 제공한다. 결과적으로, 제안한 시스템은 소규모 창고관리의 효율성과 정확도를 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있다. Various application systems are developed using RFID as a part of ubiquitous computing, and it is expected that RFID chip will become wide-spread for the distribution industry especially. Efficient and efact intelligent-type of warehouse management system is essential for small-to-medium-sized enterprises in the situation having a trouble in the viewpoint of expense and manpower. In this paper, we implement small-scale warehouse management system using log-based context awareness technology. This system is implemented to be controlled on web, configuring clients to control RFID readers and building up DBMS system in a server. Especially, it grasps user's intention of storing or delivering based on toE data for the history of user's access to the system and it reports user's irregular pattern of warehouse use and serves predictive information of the control of goods in stock. As a result, the proposed system can contribute to enhance efficiency and correctness of small-scale warehouse management.

The effects of land use in a small agricultural alluvial watershed on groundwater quality were investigated. Existing 20 farm wells were selected as monitoring wells representing different land uses. EC, T-N, NO₃-N, NH₄-N, Org-N, T-P and Cl^- concentrations were monitored every 2 weeks or 1 month for 1 to 2 years. EC was low at the upper watershed and increased towards the lower watershed. Average EC of natural water quality area of the upper most watershed was 0.077 dS/m and was 14∼38% of the ECs of the other land uses. Average NO₃-N concentrations of greenhouse, livestock and residential land uses exceeded the 10 ㎎/1 limit for drinking water. Org-N and NH₄-N concentrations were relatively small compared to NO₃-N concentration and T-N concentration was mostly affected by NO₃-N concentration. NO₃-N concentration occupied more than 90% of T-N concentration of paddy and upland areas. T-N concentration was higher after growing season than during growing season. T-P concentrations did not show any trend with respect to time and land use. Correlations between EC and T-N and EC and Cl^- were analyzed and the R² were 0.7706 and 0.6567, respectively. Monthly amount of rainfall appeared to be influential to groundwater quality and long-term monitoring studies were suggested to consider the effect of rainfall on groundwater quality.
