Background : The Lipoprotein(a), [Lp(a)] is one of the atherogenic lipoproteins and it is known to be the independent risk factor on premature atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease(CHD). It is an atherogenic lipoprotein that is assembled from a Low density lipoprotein(LDL). Traditional methods for measuring Lp(a) are ELISA and immuno electrophoresis. However these method have slow reaction and no easy work measurement for Lp(a). Recent1y, the development of specific and sensitive assays for Lp(a) using specific polyclonal antibodies for Lp(a) were done, including radioI1llmunoassay, nephelometric assay(NA), and turbidimetric I1llmunoassay(TIA). We evaluated the Hitachi76OO-1 1O (Hitachi Co., Japan) using the TIA [TAC-3 Test Lp(a) (MBL Co., Japan) ] in the measurement of LP(a) and compared. Its results to those of the one-step sandwich ELISA (IMMUNOZYM Lp(a): Immuno GMBH.Co., Germany) using nephelometer in order to replace the Hitachi 7600-110 for quantitative analysis of Lp(a). Methods : Lp(a) were measured by the Hitachi 7600-110 using TIA and the one-step sandwich ELISA using nephelometer in the sera from 60 patients. πle performance characteristics were evaluated, linearity, in comparison with one-step sandwich ELISA. A1so, precision were evaluated, three level pooled serum throughput following NCCLS evaluation protocols (EPlO-A).The reference range was determined by Hitachi 7600-110 from 120 hea1thy subjects. Results : When the Lp(a) value of 20.l514.91(mean, SD)mg/dL by the Hitachi7600-1 1O was compared with that of 26.31 19.01 (mean, SD)mg/dL by ELISA, coefficients of correlation of 0.9858 was obtained. The regression equation was Y(Hitachi76OO-1 1O)= 0.773x (ELISA)-O.l89(r=0.9858, n=6O). CVs of Lp(a) measured by Hitachi 7600-110 was 2.97% at 10. 85mgldL, 1.15% at 35.53mg.dL, and 1.32% at 68.l3mgldL. The precision was excellent in each group. The linearity was acceptable. The reference range in this study was 0-28.9mgldL Lp(a). a Conclusions πle Hitachi 76OO-1 1OVY using TIA compared with the one-step sandwich ELISA using Nephelometer, showed good coefficient of correlation and precision. Therefore the Hitachi 76OO-1 1O@ can replace the one-step sandwich ELISA for quantitative analysis of Lp(a)

엄격 실시간 시스템으로 분류되는 원자력발전소 주제어실에서의 인간-기계 상호작용 및 운전성능 평가를 위한 통합 인간공학 시험설비(Integrated human factors Test Facility: ITF) 설계에 개방형 컴퓨팅 환경을 이용한 발전소 제어, 인간공학 실험, 데이타 해석, 발전소 프로세스 모델 및 사고의 시뮬레이션, 그리고 사용자 인터페이스 설계에 관해 기술한다. 시험설비 구현은 실시간 시뮬레이션, 객체지향 프로그래밍, Ethernet 클라이언트/서브 구조, 대화식 입력(트랙볼, 터치스크린, 터치 소프트 판넬), 그리고 Configuration Management 및 시험검증 기술이 이용되었다.

This paper presents a Combined solar-wave Power Generation (CPG) concept that the CPG unit is maintained as buoyant at the level of sea water and it is also supported by a submerged tunnel, with the aim of supplying emergency electric power during the station blackout events of nuclear power plants. The CPG concept has been motivated from the 2011 Fukushima-Daiichi Accidents due to the loss of both offsite AC power and emergency diesel power caused by natural hazards such as earthquake and tsunami. The CPG is conceptualized by applying different types and different sites for emergency power generation, in order to reduce common cause failures of emergency power suppliers due to natural hazards. Thus, the CPG can provide a new mean for supplying emergency electric power during station blackout events of nuclear power plants. For this application, the CPG requirements are described with a typical configuration at the ocean side of a submerged tunnel.

본 논문은 자율형 이동로보트인 NUROT에 구현된 다양한 인공지능 기법들에 대해 서술하였다. 인공지능 기법으로는 지도정보에 의한 경로계획, 지식기반 제어, 퍼지 장애물 회피, 신경망에 의한 위치추정 등이 사용되었고, A.Meystel이 제안한 계층적 지능제어 구조를 근간으로 구현하였다. 경로계획은 통과난이도를 고려한 WSA(Wandering Standpoint Algorithm)에 의해 수행되고, 주행시 발생되는 미끄러짐에 의한 위치오차를 신경망을 이용하여 보정하며, 지도상에 표현되지 않은 장애물들에 대한 부정확한 초음파 센서 정보를 퍼지로직을 이용하여 충돌회피를 구현하였다. 그리고 시각적 인간-기계 인터페이스와 제어를 위한 휴리스틱을 NUROT에 구현함으로써 기존의 지능제어보다 향상된 결과를 나타내었다.

This paper proposes a knee-wearable robot system for assisting the muscle power of human knee by processing EMG (Electromyogram) signals. Although there are many muscles affecting the knee joint motion, the rectus femoris and biceps femoris among them playa core role in the extension and flexion motion, respectively, of the knee joint. The proposed knee-wearable robot system consists of three parts; the sensor for measuring and processing EMG signals, controller for estimating and applying the required knee torque, and actuator for driving the knee-wearable mechanism. Ultimately, we suggest the motion control method for knee-wearable robot system by processing the EMG signals of corresponding two muscles in this paper. Also, we show the effectiveness of the proposed knee-wearable robot system through the experimental results.

This paper describes an electrical linear generator (IntELG) based on permanent magnets, containing heaving buoy, and its applications for the floating wave energy converters riding in parallel waves. The permanent magnets are integrated with the heaving buoy as a component and the integrated component is configured within the cylindrical IntELG to be filled with fluid. Thus, the IntELG can effectively be applied for the power-take-off of the floating wave energy converter riding in parallel waves. Typical applications are exampled with the Pelamis and Anaconda and they are investigated for the diversely redundant power source of nuclear power plant and the cooperation with submerged tunnel(s).

The analysis of serum free light chains (sFLCs) can improve the diagnosis and monitoring of multiple myeloma and other plasma cell dyscrasias. As with other immunoassays, sFLCstests are subject to potential antigen excess and heterophilic antibody interference. We describe 9 cases of sFLCs antigen excεss in patients with multiple myeloma using the FreeliteTM Human Kappa and Lambda Frεe Kits (Thε Binding Site ltd., Birmingham, UK) and the Hitachi7600 P module turbidimetric system. A total of 1,247 consecutive samples from 250 patients with multiple myeloma were assayed for sFLCs from April to September, 2009. The samples were assayed using an initial dilution of 1 :5and subsequent dilutions of 1 :50 and 1: 100. The same samples were analyzed for the presence of monoclonal gammopathies using serum protεin electrophoresis (SPE) and immunofixation electrophoresis (IFE). There were 9 samples (0.72%) of antigεn excess with 3 cases of kappa (0.24%) and 6 cases of lambda (0.48%). Thεse cases reprεsents an example of antigen excess or " hook effect" using the sεrum free light chain assays and mandates high level of attεntion to falsely low sFLC 1εvels due to antigen excess, especially when it is disaccordant to other assay rεsults or c1inical manifestations.

A Buoyant Hybrid Power Generation System (BHPGS), described in this paper, is a conceptual approach to a hybrid solar-wind power generation in the near sea. The primary purpose of the BHPGS is given to improve utilization of solar cell modules. Main components of the BHPGS include a solar cell module, buoyant object, power generator, and support assembly including weight. Components such a generator controller, DC/AC converter, etc., are not configured in the current BHPGS because they can easily be purchased as a commercial-offthe- shelf product. In addition, some of the BHPGS applications are discussed.
