The effects of radial heat and $H_2O$ diffusion on the evolution of silica particles in coflow diffusion flames have been studied experimentally. The evolution of silica aggregate particles in coflow diffusion flames has been measured experimentally using light scattering and thermophoretic sampling techniques. The measurements of scattering cross section from $90^{\circ}$ light scattering have been utilized to calculate the aggregate number density and volume fraction using with combination of measuring the particle size and morphology through the localized sampling and a TEM image analysis. Aggregate or particle number densities and volume fractions were calculated using Rayleigh-Debye-Gans and Mie theory for fractal aggregates and spherical particles, respectively. Flame temperatures and volumetric differential scattering cross sections have been measured for different flame conditions such as inert gas species, $H_2$ flow rates, and burner injection configurations to examine the relation between the formation of particles and radial $H_2O$ diffusion. The comparisons of oxidation and flame hydrolysis have also been made for various $H_2$ flow rates using $N_2$ or $O_2$ as a carrier gas. Results indicate that the role of oxidation becomes dominant as both carrier gas($O_2$) and $H_2$ flow rates increases since the radial heat diffusion precedes $H_2O$ diffusion in coflow flames used in this study. The effect of carrier gas flow rates on the evolution of silica particles have also been studied. When using $N_2$ as a carrier gas, the particle volume fraction has a maximum at a certain carrier gas flow rate and as the flow rate is further increased, the hydrolysis reaction Is delayed and the spherical particles finally evolves into fractal aggregates due to decreased flame temperature and residence time.

A novel heart rate estimation algorithm is presented based on normalized least-mean-square (NLMS) algorithm. This paper presented a three-step processing scheme for estimating heart rate from PPG signal with motion artifacts. The proposed active noise cancellation algorithm has low computational complexity compared to the NLMS algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms perform similar with the previous algorithm under motion artifact noises.

Due to population aging, an increase in the number of patients with chronic illnesses, and an increase in the number of single-person households, monitoring of health status in everyday life without the need for a hospital has become very important. For this reason, researches on various health care devices have been attempted, among which wearable devices are attracting much attention. In this paper, we propose a new ring-type wearable device for next generation healthcare. On the inner side of the ring, a metal electrodes for GSR measurement and an optical sensor for measurement of pulse wave signals of two wavelengths of red and near-infrared light were mounted. In addition, it was equipped with an acceleration sensor, and information about the degree of motion could be obtained. In this paper, it is shown that a health monitoring device can be implemented in the form of a ring, and the measured signals can be used to calculate heart rate, oxygen saturation, sleep time and sleep efficiency. Through the advanced algorithm, it is expected that we can extract various health information, especially sleep related health information by using the ring device, and it is also expected that it can contribute to the implementation of wearable healthcare effectively.

오늘날 건강 상태를 쉽게 진단 할 수 있는 건강 문진의 수는 헤아릴 수 없을 정도로 많다. 하지만 이들 문진은 웹 페이지 또는 인쇄본을 통해서만 사용할 수 있으며 따라서, 건강 문진은 일상 생활에서 제한적으로 활용되고 있다. 모바일 건강 문진 서비스는 모바일 기기를 통하여 건강 문진을 제공하고 사용자의 답변에 대한 다양한 분석결과를 제공하는 서비스이다. 모바일 건강 문진 서비스는 사용자가 자신의 건강 상태를 언제, 어디서든 쉽게 확인할 수 있는 방법 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 웹 서비스를 활용한 모바일 건강 문진 서비스 프레임워크를 제안하다. 이 프레임워크는 모바일 건강 문진 서비스의 설계 및 구현, 실행을 용이하게 한다.
