The QWR (Quarter Wave Resonators) cryomodule of RAON, the heavy ion accelerator planned to be built in Daejeon, holds a QWR superconducting cavity to accelerate heavy ion beam. It supplies liquid helium to cavity at 4.3 K and insulates cavity from external heat and terrestrial magnetism. The prototype of the QWR cyromodule is fabricated and tested, including dummy QWR cavity made of stainless steel. This paper describes structures and roles of main components in QWR cryomodule. The cool-down experience with liquid helium and the static thermal load of the prototype cryomodule is reported. The static thermal load was 3.9 W and it is measured with boil-off calorimetry using flow meter.
초저온·고진공 환경에서의 Micro Alignment Telescope(MAT)를 이용한 초전도 가속관의 정밀정렬측정에 관한 연구

RAON is a heavy ion accelerator for the Rare Isotope Science Project (RISP) at the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) in Korea. The accelerator complex consists of three superconducting linear accelerators, called SCL1, SCL2, SCL3. A linear accelerator, SCL1, utilizes superconducting Quarter Wave Resonators (QWRs) and Half Wave Resonators (HWRs). A QWR cavity was installed in a cryostat. After cooling down to a cryogenic temperature in a ultra high vacuum, we measured position misalignments of the QWR cavity due to cooling down. In this paper, a precise position measurement and misalignment compensation method are presented for the QWR cavities.
사과나무 幼木의 側技誘起에 關한 硏究 : 벤질아미노퓨린의 處理效果 Effect of Benzylamino Purine(BA)

Field experiments were conducted to determine the effect of bengylamino purine(BA) on the branching of young apple trees in 1982 and 1983. The effects seemed to be different depending on year, concentration of BA and variety/rootstocks of apple trees. In Tsugaru and Fuji varieties grafted on M26/Malus prunifolia BA treatment increased the number of branches in both years, but in Tsugaru grafted on MM106/M. prunifolia, BA effects varied depending on experimental years. However BA treatment did not affect on branching of Tsugaru and Fuji varieties grafted either on M26 or MM106 without M. prounifolia as a rootstock. Topping slightly increased the number of lateral branches at all BA concentrations and developed two vigorous lateral shoots at the top of trees. Induction of lateral branches by BA treatment was more effective top portion of trees compared to lower portion. BA-lanolin paste was more effective than BA-alcohol solution to induce lateral branches.
