This paper presents a nonlinear brake control for vehicle collision avoidance(CA) system. For the control of a brake system. we introduced a solenoid valve controlled brake actuator and a hydraulic brake system. To minimize driver discomfort during braking in a CA system. it is important to have the acceleration profile as smooth as possible. The proposed nonlinear brake control technique has been compared to a simple CA algorithm which use on/off binary brake control.

A single-piece-machined-part has superior characteristics to an assembly of several pieces of part especially for aircraft components. It is neccesary to develop high efficient 'multi-head router machine' for machining a large size single-piece-part on a large scale. In this type machine, many cutting chips are generated. These chips should be removed automatically for productivity and part precision. In this research, cutting chip collecting apparatus for 'multi-head router machine' was designed. A suction-type-blower (20 HP, Δp3,000㎜Ag), which was attached to the machine tool directly, was very effective.
만성 육아종성 질환에서의 Stimulated N. B. T. 검사

Colorless nitro blue tetrazolium (N. B. T.) is reduced to a water-insoluble formazan which can easily be recognized as a deep blue deposit in cytoplasm. Although the mechanism of reduction of N. B. T. to form formazan in phagocytic neutrophils is uncertain. Park et al. reported that the number of meutrophils reducing N . B. T. dye invitro was significantly elevated in patients with acute systemic bacteria infection. Park also introduced a simple technique testing intrinsic defect of neutrophils to phagocytize and kill bacteria. When N. B. T. values are not increased in the presenee of acute bacterial infection by observing significant rise in N. B. T. positive neutrophils when Escherichia coli endotoxin is added in vitro. Chronic granulomatous disease (C. G. D.) results from a failure of patients phagocytic cells to kill ingested bacteria. The result``s of theN .B. T test in C.G.D. patients was false negative. So the present study was performed to stimulated N. B. T. test by endotoxin. The result``s of the S-N .B. T. test in C.G.D. patients and his father and his mother and his brother and health person are as followings : 1. The percentage of N . B. T. positive neutrophils was 0% in C. G. D. patients. 2. The percentage of N. B. T. positive neutrophils was 100% in his father, his brother, healthy person (control) 3. The percentage of N . B. T. positive neutrophils was 60% in his mother. The S-N. B. T. test would be diagnostic value in patients suspected of having C. G. D. which can not be killed bacteria by neutrophils.
지속형 천식 환자에서 아콜레이트 (R) ( Zafirlukast ) 투여에 따른 유효성과 안전성 및 내약성 평가를 위한 비대조 , 다기관 임상연구

Background and Objective:Accolate, one of the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonists, have anti-inflammatory and bronchodilating effects. The clinical indications for LT antagonist are not yet in consensus. We performed a non-comparative multicenter trial to assess the additional responses of Accolate to the current long-term control regimens in persistent asthma. Materials and Methods: Eighty persistent asthmatics from 10 asthma special care clinics were enrolled. Daily 20 mg of Accolate was added 2 times to the current control regimen for 6 weeks and its effects on symptom scores, morning and evening PEFR, FEV1, and frequency of the short acting 2 agonist usage for relief of asthma were measured. Results: The morning symptom scores significantly improved by addition of Accolate for 1 week (p<0.01) and its effect persisted to the 6th week (p<0.01) of trial. Nocturnal symptom scores also improved at 2nd week (p<0.05) and the effect continued to the end of this trial. Days with morning asthma symptoms decreased by addition of Accolate at 4th week (p<0.05) and 6th week (p<0.05). The frequency of the short acting β2 agonist inhalations significantly decreased by addition of Accolate from 1st week to the end of this trial. Morning and evening PEFR significantly improved at 1st week and the effects progressively improved to the end of this trial. The FEV1 not improve by addition of Accolate. However, when the asthmatic with obstructed lung function (FEV1 <80%) were enrolled only for analysis, the FEV1 significantly improved at 3rd (p<0.05) and 6th weeks (p<0.05). In 21 asthmatics, oral prednisolone was continuously used at the beginning of this trial. It could be discontinued in 4 patients and the dosage of prednisolone was significantly reduced in another 3 patients by addition of Accolate. Their mean administered dosage of prednisolone decreased from 8.6±0.9 mg/day to 6.8±1.1 mg/day at the end of this trial (p<0.05). Conclusions: With these results, we thought that addition of Accolate as a long term control regimen in the symptomatic persistent asthmatics would be an effective strategy. For evaluation of steroid sparing effects, further studies will be needed. (J Asthma Allergy Clin Immunol 21: 552-560, 2001)
