Docetaxel is a taxoid antineoplastic drug, which is widely used to treat locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Among the adverse dermatological reactions, nail disorders such as bending, onycholysis, hypo-or hyperpigmentation are rare. We report a case of a 62-year-old male with advanced NSCLC (cT4N3M1, stage IV), who developed purulent discharge and onycholysis in the nail of all his fingers and the left great toe after five courses of anti-neoplastic chemotherapy, which included docetaxel (cumulative dose: 370 mg/m2, 590 mg). Seven days after the final session of chemotherapy, the patient had become aware of discoloration and swelling of the nail beds with out pain. Three days later, greenish-yellow purulent discharge oozed out from the involved nails. Microbiologic studies revealed Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Intravenous and topical antibiotics (mupirocin) were applied. After 2 weeks, regrown nails were observed and the onycholysis had improved. (Tuberc Respir Dis 2007; 62: 125-128)

N/A The particle size of medicinal materials is an important physical property that affects the pharmaceutical behaviors such as dissolution, chemical stability, and bioavailability of solid dosage forms. The size reduction of raw medicinal powder is needed to formulate insoluble drugs or slightly soluble medicines and to improve the pharmaceutical properties such as the solubility, the pharmaceutical mixing, and the dispersion. The objective of the present study is to evaluate physiological activity of amorphous and nano-particle preparations of insoluble drug, ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), which were made by three types of fine grinding mills. The change of physical properties of ground UDCA was conformed by Mastersiger microplus and X-ray diffraction. We have investigated hepatoprotective effects of the nano-particle preparations of UDCA by planetary mill, vibration rod mill and jet mill in CCl_4-induced oxidatively injured mouse liver. The results showed that nano-particle preparations of UDCA all decreased reactive oxygen sepecies generation and lipid peroxidation in CCl_4-induced oxidative stress mice. Among them, nano-particle preparations by vibration rod mill and jet mill showed more significantly hepatoprotective effects compared to intact UDCA and planetary millground UDCA. These results suggest that ground UDCA with vibration rod mill and jet mill shows a high amorphous state and the improved dissolution.

The purpose of this study was to investigate change of growth hormone(GH) and Insulin like growth-factor-1(IGF-1) on the exercise intensities(VO₂max80%,60%,4O%).Ten healthy high school student(age:14.70±4.8 ,height:167± 4.52㎝, weight:57.00± 6.11㎏, Body fat:14.32±3.77%)volunteered to participate in this study. pre- post exercise(recovery:30min.60min)blood samples were obtained and analyzed for growth hormone (GH),Insulin like growth factor -1(IGF-1), Plasma growth hormone level was significantly increased after post exercise in 60% VO₂max, and there was no different in both exercise intensity (40%,80% VO₂max). Plasma IGF -1 level was increased after VO₂max 60% at immediate post exercise, No significant changes in plasma IGH-1 level were observed with three treatment These data indicate that 60% VO₂max exercise intensity is a more important of GH, IGH-1 hormone release than the 40%, 80% VO₂max exercise intensity.

물류유통분야에서는 SCM(Supply Chain Management)의 효율을 위하여 RFID 기술의 적용을 날로 확대하고 있다. 시대흐름에 편승하여 국방에서는 군수분야에 이 기술을 적용하고 있다. 군수물자 관리에서 필요성을 인식하고 국방탄약관리 시스템 구축사업, 신무기체계 자산관리 시스템 구축사업 등에 RFID 기술을 적용하였다. u-군수정보체계를 구축하기 위해서는 탄약뿐만 아니라 물자, 장비정비 RFID 시스템이 국방차원의 ONS(Object Naming Service) 및 DS(Discovery Service)와 연계되어야 비로소 군수물자 전체에 대하여 실시간으로 흐름을 파악할 수 있게 된다. 그러나 시범사업을 통하여 구축된 탄약 RFID 시스템이나 신무기체계 자산관리 시스템은 기관간 정보를 공유할 수 있도록 하는 국방차원의 ONS가 구비되어 있지 않고, 향후 구축할 계획을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 EPCglobal 네트워크의 시사점 및 향후 추진 방향을 정리해 보고, 국방분야에서 RFID 시스템 도입사례와 향후 국방 RFID 추진방향, 국방 군수지원 개념을 고찰하였다. 그리고 군에 적합하고 인트라넷 환경에서 운영이 가능한 MND-ONS(Military and Defense) 시스템 구축방안을 제시하였다.

When the axial piston type hydraulic pump is used in an actual site, a leakage occurs in the rotating parts due to a sudden change in pressure and a change in flow rate, the balance between the swash plate and the hydrostatic bearing of the piston shoe is broken, It causes mechanical wear, resulting in efficiency reduction, which is the main performance as a pump. In order to prevent this, a solenoid valve of the pump itself is mounted to protect against overload. In this study, by replicating conditions such as flow rate and pressure when the pump is operated under actual site conditions, proceed with the life test of 750 hours, observe the performance deterioration before and after the life test, We confirmed the transition of the applied field mode of the piston pump and the change of the pump efficiency and compared it.

Recently, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), such as MoS<SUB>2</SUB>, have been considered for application in hydrogen evolution catalysis. However, there is a limit to use as a single MoS<SUB>2</SUB> material due to a low charge transfer rate. In this paper, a MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd-Pt catalyst was fabricated on carbon paper in a simple two-step synthesis method. MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd was synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method, and a small amount of Pt was electrodeposited on the prepared sample using a three-electrode system. The nanostructure of MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd has more defects than the structure of MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and the exposure of active sites is high, which is advantageous for the Pt deposition process. In the Pt electrodeposition process, MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd showed higher deposition efficiency and stability than MoS<SUB>2</SUB> in acidic medium. Although a very small amount of Pt was deposited, the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) properties of MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd-Pt were significantly improved compared to MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd. Moreover, MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd-Pt exhibited excellent catalytic activity with a lower overpotential (-64 mV at 10 mA/cm2) compared to MoS<SUB>2</SUB> (-253 mV) and MoS<SUB>2</SUB>-Pd (-204 mV), thereby proving it a promising electrocatalyst for the HER as an alternative to Pt.
