As the AGT system has never operated in Korea, the construction of test track is essential to the acquisition of safety for the passengers. However, the test track is a synthetic system including vehicle, power system, signalling, track etc, several factors must be considered. In this paper, we suggest the general guideline for the test track of AGT system and test items on test track through the investigation of leading test facilities in the world. Through continuous study and investigation, we finally will build the test track to verify the reliability requirements between the train and infrastructures.
도시철도차량 구조체의 소성 및 탄성모델에 따른 처짐특성 분석

This paper describes the deflection analysis method and results for elastic and plastic model of EMU(Electric Multiple Units) structural. The model has four wheels, two bolsterless bogies and one passenger coach. The wheel and bogie is modeled as a rigid body and the passenger coach is modeled as flexible bodies. Analysis methods will be introduced to consider a remanent stress of the passenger coach due to a camber of underframe. Dynamics analysis carried out to extract a dynamics stress under some camber cases.

Currently, the use of the subway system as a public transportation has been an increasing demand due to the complex transportation structure in Korea. The subway system provides on time arrival and departure, relatively comfortable riding, and convenient access in the metropolitan area. Among several areas of the operation of the subway system, the safety of subway vehicle itself is of important because the rolling stocks carry the passengers, and the safety and reliability of rolling stocks are directly affected for the safety of subway passengers. In this research, various advanced engineering analysis techniques for the precision diagnosis assessment of subway EMUs have been introduced and the diagnosis assessment results have been used to provide the critical information for the lifetime assessment of EMUs.

Since PSD(Platform Screen Door) is set up at many subway stations, its design related to a safety becomes gradually important. Especially the intereference check with a running railway vehicle is the most important of performance indices. This study proposes a dynamic analysis models for the railway vehicle and rail. Some design parameters are considered in the models to find a correlation to the performance.

Nondestructive inspection(NDI) is a testing procedure used to easily inspect an object for internal defects abnormalities shape and structure etc. without destroying it. Typical candidates for NDI include buildings railways aircraft bridges underground pipelines and various types of factory equipment. Recent advances in nondestructive evaluation(NDE) technologies have led to improved methods for quality control and in-service inspection and the development of new options for material diagnostics. Under frame side sill in rolling stocks is designed for preventing corrosion in order to meet mechanical requirements. However during long operation time there are corrosion in the under frame side sill caused by environmental effect vibration and etc. This paper introduces the methods of a survey and assessment on NDI applications in Electric Multiple Units(EMU). The main objective of this paper was to obtain information on various applications and evaluation of NDI technology in EMU.

In order to facilitate technical exchange among nations and/or institutes through the establishment of mutual recognition and the reliability guarantee of testing results by testing standards standardization, the interlaboratory comparison tests on brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS were conducted. So far, two ways of comparison tests were performed for a better understanding of mutual recognition and standardization in railroad brake linings between Korea and China. In this paper, the first and second comparison testing results have been summarized, and the suggestions for the future research work are also presented to encourage extensive research on comparison study of railroad brake discs and linings between KRRI and CARS.Eventually, the final goal of the current research will be the establishment of standardization of railroad testing standards.
레이져 가공기술을 이용한 도시철도차량 제작 기술 개선에 대한 고찰

This paper deals with the effect of laser material processing on the EMU production technique. Material processing with lasers takes advantage of all the characteristics of laser light. The high energy density and directionality achieved with lasers permits strong localized heat- or photo-treatment of materials with spatial resolution below one micrometer. The pulsed and mono-chromatic light allows the control of depth of heat treatment or selective excitation. The laser beam can be moved to process large areas, is a sterile tool and is no subject to wear and tear. Using laser processing have taken more interests in EMU production for improving the rigidity, weight reduction, crash durability, and cost savings so that their application to auto-bodies has been increased.
