In this study, we suggest a low-temperature heat driven simultaneous heating/cooling absorption system with thermal energy storage assuming renewable energy as a driving heat source. The system stores thermal energy in the form of concentration potential through solution and refrigerant storage based on a steady-state simultaneous heating/cooling cycle using an aqueous lithium bromide solution as a working fluid. As a result of the analysis, the cooling COP of the steady-state cycle was 0.31, the heating COP was 0.26, and the total COP was 0.57. The cooling COP of the thermal energy storage system was obtained as 0.14, the heating COP as 0.16, and the total COP as 0.30, and the Energy Storage Density(ESD) was calculated as 394.4 kJ/kg. Through this system, it is expected that the utilization of renewable energy in the building heating and cooling application can be increased by responding to the characteristics of renewable energy, which are low-temperature and high time variability.
