Ischemic colitis is frequently misdiagnosed as non-specific colitis, ulcerative colitis. The Surgeon may miss the true diagnosis at operation because arterial pulsations frequently are present in the mesenteric vessels, and the normal appearance of the serosa may mask the amount of ischemic damage in the bowel. Colonic ischemia is multifactorial disease complex, presenting as a continum that may range from mucosal edema to gangrene, from completly reversible to irreversible and from no vascular occlusion to complete occlusion. We had a case of ischemic colitis, associated with rectal cancer which was unexpected before operation. The literatures are reviewed here with the case presentation.

Inflammatory fibroid polyps are polypoid lesions of the GI tract, with a characteristic pattern of fibrous tissue and blood vessels. Inflammatroy infiltrates, often with large numbers of eosinophils are an additioinal feature. The majority of inflammatory fibroid polyps have been reported in adults, with the stomach the most frequent site of involvement. This polyp involved rarely in the large bowel. We report a case of inflammatory fibroid polyp of the cecum, causing intussusception. The etiology & pathology are discussed with the review of the literatures.
돼지 적출 신동맥에 있어서 Adenosine 과 Adenosine Triphosphate 의 영향

The aims of this study were to elucidate the effect of adenosine and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) on the isolated pig renal artery. The results were summarized as follows 1. Adenosine caused relaxation and the relaxant responses were increased in dose-dependent manner between the concentration of adenosine 2.5 × 10^(-3)M and 10^(-2)M on the isolated pig renal artery. 2. ATP caused contraction and the contractile responses were increased in dose-dependent manner between the concentration of ATP 10^(-4)M and 5 × 10^(-3)M on the isolated pig renal artery. The results of this study demonstrated that adenosine caused relaxation and ATP caused contraction on the isolated pig renal artery.
