        It is developing that We make investigation into the enginecring properties of constructive materials as the Rocks or Concrete, with deformation and destruction and greep process, etc, by method of velocity of Ultrasonic wave. At recently the reseach of this aspect makes Une of Ultrasonic wave with determination of Elastic wave into the investigation of foundation. the next are result that this Report make investigation and analyze into the relaction of dynamic property of sandy loam soils with velocity of Ultrasonic wave, (1) The Frequency of pulse of velocity of Ultrasonic wave for Sandy loan soils is range of the 50 KHZ. (2) It is conformed that maxinum likehood estimate of Experimentnl and Expaction of Froquency For Sandy loam soils is less than ±5%. (3) It is conformed that the elastic constant of velocity of Ultrasonic ware For Sondy loam soils is E_d<E_s.

        In this study, in a case of the irregular Time-Distance Curves the analysis method was studied, therefore this method was used for evaluation of dynamic soil parameter in the weathered granite soil. Then, the utilization of the concept of a delay time and the application of phantoming was to evaluate the time-distance for the refracted waves in a measuring line and the depth in the detector point. From the results it was found that how much was Poisson's ratio influenced in the relationship between Vp and E, and Vs and G, and these data related in the correlation between N-values and Vs.

        In Weathered Granite Soil, we can be determined Bearing Capasity fastors for local shear failure condition N_q', N_r' from the standard penetration test-N value in the shallow foundation(D_f/B<1). and parameter of N/σ_N' have been investingated directly with the standard penetration test in the dense weathered Granite Soil. and this study are confirmed on the Bearing capacity factors N_q', N_r' with relationship between N velue and relative Density(D_r) or shear failure parameter in the weathered Granite Soil.

        In order to determine the Index of Weathering of Granite soil, we haue been measured the specific gravity of feldspar(Albite) and quantitative Ratio of Kaolinite clay with the X-diffraction in Jeonjusite. According to the result's, Quantitative Ratio of Feldspar decreased relatively Quantitative Ratio of Kaolinite clay increased with weathering process and there are most weathering site where specific gravity of Feldspar is limited value 2.41~2.70.

      • 破碎를 高麗한 花崗土의 다짐 特性에 關한 硏究

        Weathered granite soil is called residual soil, which dispersed in the gammut area in the our country and used in civil enginering site. As a special soil, it has much cruching problems when used in engineering site. This study investigates soil mechanics according to weathering process of granite soil and examines the effects for the characteristics of soil mechanics and engineering. The main results obtained from this study are follows. 1. The characteristics of the crushing effects are derived from the constant remnants which are not related with the way of crushing in sieving test. And the changing points according to the data in crushing numbers are between 20 and 30, and the coefficient of uniformity (cu) is almost changing linearly. 2. The maximum dried densities(γ_(dmax)) are lessened in the process of weathering. After crushing they, compared with γ_(dmax) of natural soil, are augmented. Optimum water contents (Wopt) Corresponeded by γ_(dmax) are lessened compared with Wopt of natural soil. The augmentation of γ_(dmax), γ_(df), has maximum effects in upper points of Wopt. And relative density(Dr) also increased in the range of applied water contents.

        In soil engineering, stuructual characterics of soils are the relationship between physical-chemical and constructional properties. This study of the microstructure of loess soil in the easten area of korea, for evaluatation of thier stuructual characteristics and the microstructure of loess soil, was studied by usc of X-Ray diffraction and scaning electron microcsopy. with the structual characteristics of this loess soil showing the following results. 1.This loess is a sandy loam type of fine sand which is irregular and kaolinite clay could be confirmed as present 2.in this loess soil, a water solution and chloirde not less than that in the loess materials and main mineraloge are quartz or muscovite or kaolinite clay. 3.Under condolidation of this loess, a glnuar fabric unit be confirmed by an orientation of X-Ray diffraction.

      • 海底土의 短期安定處理의 反應特性

        Recently, chemical soil stabilizations using the deep mixing method have been actively adopted for the improvement of soft ground in the offshore region. The objective of this study is to reveal the mechanism of strength development in the uncompacted stabiolized soils made by the deep mixing method. The mechanical properties of strength in the cement or lime stabilized soils were investigated. Furthermore, the reaction materials and process in them were elucidated by x-ray diffraction analysis and pH values. From the results, the relation between strength development and x-ray diffraction intensity in the uncompacted stabilized soils is discussed.

      • 地盤土의 土質定數의 分布特性과 工學的 相關性

        Natural Foundation have many different compressibilities and bearing capacities under the ground condition. There are two ways which we choose as a measure of such a characteristic. One is investigating the subsoil as a Boring, annother is observing penetration resistance and some physical or mechanu¨al characteristics of soil as a standard penetration test. In this study we made Boring and Sounding in order to obtain soil parameter and find their correlation coefficient for subsoil in Alluvial site (Gun SAN SAM Buk site) and the weathered granite soil (jeonju Decjin site) of Jeon Buk Area. We have obtained the following results in the investigated site. 1) Investigated site confirm the Alluvial and the weathered granite stratum as the subsoils. 2) Probability Density of soil parameter values is normally distributed in the Alluvial and the weathered granite stratum for subsoil. 3) ML and SC is a nonlinear function and in the subsoils moisture content and strength is correlated negativelly and Density and strength is positive correlation.
