The frictional behavior of oxide films on top of the plasma nitrocarburized compound layers was investigated in terms of post-oxidation treatment temperatures. The post-oxidation treatment at both temperatures($400^{\circ}C,\;500^{\circ}C$) produced magnetite($Fe_3O_4$) films which led to a significant enhancement in corrosion resistance. However, this process did not result in any improvement in frictional behavior of the nitrocarburized surface. The wear mechanisms were governed predominantly by the abrasive action of the slider on the surface irrespective of the counterface material(SiC and Bearing steel). When the specimen was sliding against a SiC counterface, the oxide films were destroyed during the early stage of the sliding process and the wear debris of the oxide film at the sliding track had a great influence on the friction coefficient. On the other hand, when sliding against a bearing steel counterface, the slider was mainly worn out due to the much higher hardness of the surface hardened layer. The fluctuation of the friction coefficient of $400^{\circ}C$-oxidized/ nitrocarburized specimen is much severer than that of $500^{\circ}C$ specimen, due to the less amount of wear debris.

A novel three degrees of freedom position sensing method utilizing binary grid patterns image and vision camera is<br/> presented. The binary grid patterns image designed by PRBA is used to encode absolute x, y coordinates information<br/> onto a planar surface. First, the yaw motion of a target is detected using fast image processing and then the other planar<br/> positions, x and y, are decoded with a sequence of images. This method can be applied to the system that measures the<br/> in-plane position (x, y, and yaw) on a thin plate simultaneously with a good accuracy and high resolution comparable<br/> with the encoder. Additionally it is non-contact sensing method contrary to the encoder in contact with shaft. In this<br/> paper, all the procedures of the above sensing mechanism are described in detail, including the simulation results.
KOH 수용액에서 reduced grapheme oxide(RGO)의 전기화학적 특성 평가

The electrochemical behavior of reduced grapheme oxide(RGO) has been investigated in KOH solution by using cyclic voltammetry(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) techniques. In the CV test, RGO exhibits a pseudo-capacitator property due to functionalization by an electrochemical interaction between RGO surface and OH ion in the electrochemical test. The functionalized RGO showed a typical EDLC behavior, exhibiting the specific capacitance of 150F/g. The specific capacitance of RGO was maintained in a level of 75% of the fresh RGO up to 300 CV cycles. The functional groups attached on the RGO surface after an electrochemical treatment in KOH solution was found to be C-O, C=O and O-C=O by XPS analysis.
