토양 개량제 처리에 따른 밤나무의 개화 및 종실 형질 특성

This study was carried out to examine the effect of soil amendment treatments [(organic fertilizer; 20 kg tree^-1; compound fertilizer+ wood-char fertilizer: compound fertilizer 4kg tree^-1+wood-char 2kg tree^-1; lime fertilizer: 3kg tree^-1; mixed fertilizer: compound fertilizer 1kg tree^-1+organic fertilizer 10kg tree^-1+wood-char 1kg tree^-1; control (no fertilizer)] on flowering and fruit characteristics in chestnut (Castanea crenata S. et Z.) orchards in Jinju and Sancheong Gyeongsangnam-do. Diameter of fruting shoot increased generally after soil amendment treatments compared with the control while number of leaf female and male flowers were not affected by the treatments. Nut weight increased after soil amendment treatments in jinju but was not affected by the treatments in Sancheong. There was a positive correlation between soil pH (r=0.91) or exchangeable Ca²+(r=0.99) and nut weight in Jinju and a positive correlation (r=0.97) between organic carbon content and soluble solid concentration while a negative correlation (r=-0.92) between exchangeable Mg²+ and soluble solid concentration of nuts in Jinju. However the nut weight and soluble solid concentration in Sancheong were not correlated with soil properties. The results indicate that the characteristics of flowering and nuts in chestnut orchards depend on soil properties after soil amendment treatments between regions which show better responses on poor sites than on good sites.
경상남도 산청군 밤나무 재배지의 조성 기간에 따른 토양 및 잎 양분 특성

경상남도 산청군 단성면과 신안면의 20년 이상 밤나무재배지 17개소, 19년 이하 재배지 13개소 등 총 30개소를 대상으로 조성 기간에 따른 토양의 물리화학적 특성 및 잎의 형태적 특성과 양분함량을 조사하였다. 토양 물리적 특성 중 토양용적밀도는 20년 이상 재배지가 1.16 g cm<SUP>-3</SUP>으로 19년 이하 재배지 1.03 g cm<SUP>-3</SUP>에 비해 유의적으로 높았다 (p〈0.05). 토양 화학적 특성 중 토양 pH는 20년 이상 재배지의 토양pH가 4.56으로 19년 이하 재배지 토양 pH 4.73에 비해 토양 산성화가 심하였으나 유기물, 전질소, 유효인산, 칼륨 함량은 조성 기간에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않았다 (p〉0.05). 또한, 잎 면적, 잎 건중량, 잎 내 질소, 인, 칼륨, 칼슘, 마그네슘 함량도 조성 기간 사이에 차이가 없었다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면 밤나무재배지의 토양특성 중 조성 기간은 토양용적밀도 같은 물리적 특성에 변화를 초래하지만 토양 화학적 특성과 잎 양분함량에 미치는 영향은 크지 않는 것으로 나타났다. Optimum soil management of chestnut orchards is important to ensure high quality and yields of chestnut. This study was conducted to evaluate soil and green leaf characteristics by establishment periods of chestnut (Castanea crenata Sieb. et. Zucc.) orchards in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Total 30 plots with the criteria of similar cultivation practices were chosen and classified into two establishment periods by over 20-year-old orchards (17 plots) and below 19-year-old orchards (13 plots). Soil bulk density was significantly higher (p〈0.05) in over 20-year-old (1.16 g cm<SUP>-3</SUP>) than in below 19-year-old (1.03 g cm<SUP>-3</SUP>) plots. Soils in over 20-year-old plots were severely acidified with pH 4.56 compared to pH 4.73 in below 19-year-old plots. However, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, and potassium were not significantly different (p〉0.05) between both establishment periods. Leaf area, leaf mass, and nutrient (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) concentration of green leaves were also not significantly different (p〉0.05) between both establishment periods. The results indicate that soil bulk density in chestnut orchards is dependent on the establishment periods, while soil chemical property and leaf nutrient concentration may be little influenced by the establishment periods.
토양 개량제 처리가 밤나무 재배지의 토양 특성 및 잎 형질에 미치는 단기적 영향

경상남도 진주시와 산청군에 위치한 성숙한 밤나무 재배지를 대상으로 여러 가지 토양 개량제 처리[(유기질 비료 처리구: 20 kg/본; 복합비료 및 목탄 처리구: 복합비료 4 kg/본+목탄 2 kg/본; 석회비료 처리구: 3 kg/본; 혼합 비료 처리구: 복합비료 1 kg/본+유기질비료 10 kg/본+목탄 1 kg/본; 대조구(무시비구)]가 토양 특성 및 잎 형질에 미 치는 단기적 영향을 조사하였다. 밤나무 재배지에 토양용적밀도, 토양 유기탄소, 전 질소, 칼슘 및 마그네슘 함량은 토양 개량제 처리에 따른 유의적인 변화가 없었다. 그러나 잎 건중량은 진주지역 석회비료 처리구(0.65 g leaf-1), 산 청지역 유기질비료 처리구(0.68 g leaf-1)로 대조구(진주: 0.46 g leaf-1; 산청: 0.53 g leaf-1)에 비해 유의적으로 높았다. 잎 면적의 경우 진주지역 석회비료 처리구가(79.1 cm2 leaf-1)로 가장 크게 나타났으며, 산청지역 토양 개량제 처리구는 (70.4 cm2 leaf-1~78.2 cm2 leaf-1)로 대조구(진주: 56.2 cm2 leaf-1; 산청: 60.5 cm2 leaf-1)에 비해 유의적으로 증가하였다. 토양 개량제 처리에 따른 잎 내 질소 함량은 혼합비료 처리구가 2.51%, 복합비료+목탄 처리구가 2.50%로 대조구 1.98%에 비해 유의적으로 높았다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면 토양 개량제 처리는 밤나무 재배지의 단기적인 토양 특성 개선에는 효과가 크지 않았으나 잎 형질 개선에 효과가 있었으며, 잎 내 질소 분석은 밤나무 재배지의 토양 개량 효 과를 판정할 수 있는 지표로 나타났다. This study was conducted to evaluate short-term effects on soil properties and leaf characteristics after various treatments of soil amendments (organic fertilizer: 20 kg tree-1; compound fertilizer+wood-char: compound fertilizer 4 kg tree-1+wood-char 2 kg tree-1; lime fertilizer: 3 kg tree-1; mixed fertilizer: compound fertilizer 1 kg tree-1+organic fertilizer 10 kg tree-1+wood-char 1 kg tree-1; control) in chestnut (Castanea crenata S. et Z.) orchards of Jinju and Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do. Soil bulk density, soil pH, soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, exchangeable Ca2+ and Mg2+ in chestnut orchards were not significantly affected by soil amendment treatments. However, leaf weight was significantly higher in the lime fertilizer (0.65 g leaf-1) in Jinju and the organic fertilizer (0.68 g leaf-1) in Sancheong than in the control treatments (Jinju: 0.46 g leaf-1; Sancheong: 0.53 g leaf-1). Leaf area was also significantly higher in the lime fertilizer (79.1 cm2 leaf-1) in Jinju and the soil amendments (70.4 cm2 leaf-1~78.2 cm2 leaf-1) in Sancheong than in the control treatments (Jinju: 56.2 cm2 leaf-1; Sancheong: 60.5 cm2 leaf-1). Nitrogen concentration of leaf increased significantly in the mixed fertilizer (2.51%) and the compound fertilizer+wood-char (2.50%) compared with the control (1.98%) treatments. The results suggest that soil properties were not affected by soil amendment treatments during short-term period, but leaf characteristics and nitrogen concentration can be an indicator of soil nutrient improvements in chestnut orchards.
