The power supply for lighting control system has to be operated under the surrounding environment. The high reliability of the power module is required. The flyback converter with a wide input range is designed to be facilitated for the lighting control system. The flyback converter transformer roles of the inductor and transformer. This paper is summarized including the transformer design processes. The ratings are 110V or 220V input voltage, the 12V output voltage. Transformer design process was verified by experiment. It is found as using the PSM(Phase Sensitive Multimeter) that the converter is located at a stable operating area.

The lighting control power circuits should be designed in stable region according to the environment. A stable circuit is analyzed using ac equivalent circuits. The flyback converter with wide input voltage ranges is suitable for lighting control system. It is designed optimally for stability. The specifications are that the input voltage is 90V-230V, the output power is 12V/2.5A. The stability analysis is established using PSM(Phase Sensitive Multimeter) in experiment. As a result, it is confirmed that the gain margin and the phase margin are in stable area. The validity of the experimental measurement is verified.

In this paper, the 170W LLC half bridge DC-DC converter is designed for the lighting management system. The power conversion circuit consists of PFC and isolated LLC resonant converter. The topology of LLC half bridge resonant converter provides ZVS characteristic. And the stresses of voltage and current is smaller than that of the general resonant converters. So we can expect the higher efficiency. The optimal conditions for high efficiency were investigated through by experiment.
