The studies about motor using reluctance torque was not active. However, in recent years, as increasing the price of permanent magnet, the studies that using the big reluctance torque are becoming more active than before. SRM torque is generated when its inductance is changed. So, In order to generate continuous torque in SRM, it is necessary to figure out the exact level of the inductance determined by rotor’s position. And the current must be applied in the correct position. If something goes wrong with the current size in coil or position that current are applied, there will be generated unwanted torque ripple. This will cause vibration and noise in motor. In this paper, the optimal current waveform to reduce torque ripple is found. And it is configured in a table. It can make FSRM(developed in studies of SRM) creates a constant torque output. A method to reduce FSRM’s torque ripple by using the independent current reference depending on the rotor’s position and applying TDF(Torque Distribution Function) has been studied.

Recently, research on BBW(Brake-By-Wire) for next-generation vehicle have being studied actively. Comparing with old mannered brake system, BBW has an advantage of fast response. However, to ensure stability and reliability in the control system is essential, since errors occur in the electronic control system can lead to big safety problems. For this reason, permanent magnet synchronous motor is usually used to implement a high-performance control. In these days, due to the rising price of rare earth magnets, the price competitiveness of the system issues are emerging. In this paper, in order to make system inexpensive, high-resolution sensor is replaced with low-cost 3-phase square wave Hall sensor. at the same time, to realize a high-performance torque control, Hall Sensorless control algorithm that combines the 3-phase square wave Hall sensor with Sensorless control method was proposed. It is proved by simulation and experiment.

Recently study of eco-friendly cars has been carried out actively. Meanwhile, the established mechanism have been replaced by Eco-friendly and efficiency electric motor. Thereof, low saliency surface mounted permanent synchronous motor is selected for Electric Power Steering System(EPS) to acquire the higher steering feeling. Such these driver system are battery-powered that will lead to the DC-link voltage varied according to load current variation and regenerated status. In general, the Torque-Speed mapping is employed without taking into account the DC-link voltage variation in torque control system. Consequently, the additional mapping is indispensable for the high performance estimation of DC-link voltage variation and that is make the system more complicant and responsiveness more slowly. A new torque control system is proposed aim at these drawback with a Flux-Torque mapping to address the issues due to the variations of voltage and speed in practical application in this paper. The proposal current map performance is verified that is capable of dealing the DC-link voltage variation in the MATLAB/SIMULINK and a 500W SPMSM is used to test the feasibility of proposed strategy by a 1kW inverter equipped with Microprocessor Aurix Tricore TC 264D (Infienon.co.)

The drive motor of the electric steering unit uses a motor position sensor to perform current control. The accuracy of the motor position sensor affects current control. This further affects the torque ripple performance and steering of the vehicle. There are many types of motor position sensors used in electric steering systems, but MR sensors are mainly used in Korea. MR sensors have several advantages, but their own characteristics reveal the primary and secondary error components. To solve this problem, DFT was used to identify the corresponding components. And by compensating for this, we were able to check the data that the primary and secondary error components were offset through simulation.
