        This study aims to develop the information service system of integrated seakeeping performance for seagoing vessels. It has been successful in developing the intended system which has made possible to provide the following functions and capabilities. o immediate computation of the dynamic motions of a ship against the present and future weather conditions; o evaluation of the integrated seakeeping performance of a ship on a real time basis and providing the navigators with the seakeeping informations on the spot enabling them to take the most appropriate countermeasures; and o supporting the navigators in the selection of a safe sailing route by providing the integrate seakeeping performance.

      • 실시간 기상정보를 이용한 선박의 종합내항성능 평가에 관한 연구

        There is a limitation for a ship which is sailing on sea to gather weather and seastate informations. To make up for this weakness, land organizations can gather wider variety of information and evaluate the seakeeping performanceon ship. And supply this information to the ship. In this study, calculated the response amplitude of shp motions with the weather information provided in real time, the nominal speed loss with obtaining increase of resistance caused by wave and stochastic process of the seakeeping performance elements. And the results have been achieved to develop a system which can evaluate the synthetic seakeeping performance. Using this system, the results have been studied to determine the feasibility of using simulation in actural operation onboard ship.

      • 선박 접이안 유체력과 조종 안전성에 관한 연구

        대형 유조선과 같은 비정상 운동 중의 선박 접이안 조종 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 선체에 작용하는 유체력의 크기와 성질을 정량적으로 파악할 필요가 있다. 이 논문에서는 부두내 비교적 수심이 얕은 해역에서 대형 선박이 접이안하기 위해 부두와 평행하게 횡 이동하는 경우 선체에 작용하는 유체력을 수식 선형을 모델로 하여 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)법을 이용하여 계산하였다. 또한 계산 결과를 정상 횡력과 과도 횡력으로 분리하여 비교 분석을 행하였다. 또한 접이안 유체력의 특징을 바탕으로 선박 운항자에게 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 접이안 안전조선법에 대하여 고찰하였다. In order to keep the safety of maneuverability under the unsteady motion in laterally berthing ship, the magnitudes and properties of the hydrodynamic forces acting on ship hull need to be estimated quantitatively. In this paper, CFD technique is used to calculate the steady lateral force according to the water depth for Wigley model undergoing lateral berthing. The numerical results are analyzed into the steady lateral force and the transitional lateral force, and some of reviews for the safety of maneuverability relating to the lateral berthing are discussed based on the computed hydrodynamic forces.

        It is of great importance for any vessel under way, especially in rough sea, to be maneuvered safely with proper seakeeping performance. In this paper, the author aims to develope a navigational safety evaluation system in rough sea by analyzing ship’s motion with the theory of wave spectrum using random process analysis and the theory of evaluating the seakeeping performance. The author suggests a computer model of navigational safety evaluation system and examined the validity of the model by computer simulation.

        쓰나미의 공진주기파를 고려한 항내 계류선박의 시계열 해석

        최근 지구온난화의 영향으로 지구가 불안정기에 접어들어 지구적 규모의 재해가 자주 발생하고 있는 가운데, 어떻게 하면 이러한 재해를 예방하고,피해를 최소화 할 것인지에 대해 고려해 봐야 할 시점이다. 특히 거대지진에 의한 쓰나미의 발생을 경고하고 있는 상황이기 때문에 쓰나미에 의한 계류선박의 영향을 고려하는 것은 대단히 중요한 일이다. 또한 항내 계류선박의 장주기 동요에 동반하는 선체동요로 인하여 하역중지나 계류시설의 손상에 관한 문제가 보고되었다. 이러한 장주기 동요의 주요 발생 원인이 항내 장기주파와 계류선박의 고유주기가 일치하는 공진현상에 의한 것으로,수조실험을 통해 공진현상의 계류선박애의 동요영향을 파악하였다. 그리고 쓰나미의 내습으로 인한 항만 내 계류중인 선박의 거동에 대한 수치 시뮬레이션을 행하여 공진주기파를 고려한 선박운동에의 영향 및 계류하중을 실험적으로 평가한다. Recently, the earth scale disaster ís occurring frequently. Under the effects of global warming, the weather has become unseasonable worldwide. Hence, the earth is experiencing unstable condition with many disasters such as storms and flood damages as well as earthquake. Therefore, it is necessary to consider what we can do to prevent disasters. Consequently, recent warnings indicate that there ís a potential risk of massive earthquakes. Consideration of the effects of tsunami to the moored ship is very important. Operational problems such as moored ship motions sometimes become remarkable wíth large amplitude and long periods in harbor. Moored ship motions may cause the breakage of mooring systems such as mooring lines, fenders or quay. Large and long period moored ship motions are caused by resonant effects. In thís paper, the moored ship motíons wíthin a harbor by the large-scale tsunami and the effects on the motions and mooring loads with resonant effects are investigated by numerical simulations.

      • 벌크선의 積載狀態에 따른 航海安全性 評價에 관한 硏究

        A method for quantitative evaluation of the navigational safety of a bulk carrier according to different loading conditions is presented here. Generally, the navigational safety of a ship in various loading condotions is evaluated by a loamanual. However, the loading manual of ship handles only statical factors such as weight and buoyancy of ship without including any wave conditions. Practically ship's safety is much concerned with ship's actions on the rough sea as propeller racing, rolling, deck wetness, vertical acceleration, lateral acceleration, and slamming. These phenomenonena are occurred not by wave or ship's conditions independently but by coreactions of wave and ship's conditions. Response amplitude of ship's motion is manipulated by ordinary strip method(OSM) on a given bulk carrier of 170,000 deadweight tonnage under 6, 7, 8 and 9 Beaufort scale of sea states. Author applied each response amplitude of ship's motion induced by OSM to short-crested and irregular waves for stochastic process of phenomenonena on navigational safety of the bulk carrier. And the occurrence probability of the phenomenon is caculated by Rayleigh's joint probability density function according to different speed and loading conditions of the ship. Utilizing the evaluation indicies, the dangerousness, the maximum dangerousness and the evaluation diagram on the results, author depicted the general safety evaluation diagram. In order to make evaluation simple and effective, author adopted propeller racing and ship's rolling as the representative factors on navigational safety in bulk carrier through clarifying the correlation of factors of stochastic process. The simulation model of the study is 259.00m Lpp, 170,000 d.w.t, single screw, diesel engine operated bulk carrier. And the loading conditions adopted are four, homogeneous full loaded, half loaded, heavy ballast loaded, and normal ballast loaded conditions. This study has presented some different results of dangerousness on ship's varied loading conditions. By applying the evaluation diagrames, navigators are able to avoid dangerousness by keeping away of the danger encountering angle of wave direction which the diagram showes. This evaluation method may be useful for developing the practical safety evaluation system of ships as well as human beings and cargoes at sea.
