Delta 형과 Tadpole 형 삼륜차의 선회안정성 해석

As CO₂ emission reduction gains increasing interest worldwide as a solution to environmental pollution, the demand for one- or two-passenger vehicles, called personal mobility (PM), is expected to grow in the near future. This study focuses on two types of three-wheeled PM vehicle i.e. delta type (one front wheel and two rear wheels) and tadpole type (two front wheels and one rear wheel). Using the General Packaging tool of NX, 3D modeling software, various models for each type were developed by placing key components around the driver for different driver positions. In order to analyze the cornering stability of each model, Fishhook Test was carried out using CarSim, a vehicle dynamics analysis software. The results show the manner in which the location of the center of gravity influences the rollover behavior of the vehicle.
