This paper describes developing a fault diagnosis logic simulator of column type MDPS can be tested manually and automatically, using Fault Insertion Test. Tester can input the fault condition such as open/short test to ECU I/O. Through this developing simulator project, verification, validation and regression test before in vehicle will be strengthened; it also can reduce cost and time.

Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) cracking susceptibility in the weld heat-affected zone (HAZ) of reduced activation ferritic-martensitic (RAFM) steels was evaluated through stress-rupture tests. 9Cr-1W based alloys including different C, Ta and Ti content were prepared. The coarse grained heat-affected zone (CGHAZ) samples were simulated with welding condition of 30 kJ/cm heat input. CGHAZ samples consisted of martensite matrix. Stress rupture experiments were carried out using a Gleeble simulator at temperatures of 650-750℃ and at stress levels of 125-550 MPa, corresponding to PWHT condition. The results revealed that PWHT cracking resistance was improved by Ti addition, i.e., Ti contributed to the formation of fine and stable MX precipitates and suppression of coarse M23C6 carbides, resulting in improvement of stress rupture ductility. Meanwhile, rupture strength increased with increasing solute C content.

Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties in the welds of reduced-activation ferritic/martensitic steels were investigated. Three Fe-9Cr-1W-Ta-Ti alloys with different Ta and Ti contents were fabricated using a commercial vacuum-induction melting furnace. The welded samples were prepared by tungsten inert gas welding, and then the post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) was carried out. Mechanical properties in the welds before and after PWHT were evaluated by Vickers hardness tests and cross weld tensile tests, and then their results show that heat-affected zone adjacent to the base metal was the weakest region. This is because this region was the most experienced the tempering process repeatedly. In addition, tensile and yield strength decreased with an increase in Ti content and this is because the size of MX carbide increased with an increase in Ti content, resulted in a decrease of precipitation strengthening effect by MX carbide.

In this paper, a simulator architecture design for automotive ECU logic test automation with LabVIEW® is presented. For efficient development of the simulator and test automation, each feature of the simulator (power control, communications input/output control, sensor input/output control, etc.) must be modulated and implemented as a command. Using a graphical development language, LabVIEW®, the command based architecture can be developed easily. And the architecture can be helpful for maintainability and functional scalability of the simulator. More, this paper also purposes method for test automation procedure design. By executing test case automatically, it can contribute to reduce test execution time, cost and to increase test coverage and reliability.

Fail-Safe logic is designed and implemented for safety critical system to avoid an unexpected failure situation. Verification of fail-safe logic from unit level to vehicle level is as equally important as fail-safe logic design. In this study, Fail-Safe test design concepts and methods using vehicle model for verification of chassis ECU are introduced. some case studies based on completed projects are also introduced.
