얼굴 특징점 자동 추출 오류에 강인한 3차원 얼굴 복원 방법

최근에 널리 사용되고 있는 단일 영상 기반의 3차원 얼굴 복원 방법인 변형 가능한 3차원 얼굴 형상 모델(3D morphable shape model)은 입력 영상으로부터 2차원 얼굴 특징점들을 정확하게 추출할 경우, 입력 얼굴과 유사한 3차원 얼굴 형상을 생성할 수 있다. 그러나 실시간 3차원 얼굴 복원 시스템과 같이 사용자의 협조가 불가능한 경우에는 자동으로 얼굴 특징점들을 추출해야 하기 때문에, 특징점 추출 오류가 발생하여 정확한 3차원 얼굴 형상을 생성하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 본 논문에서는 특징점 추출 시 오추출 특징점과 정추출 특징점을 자동으로 분류하고, 정추출 특징점들만을 이용하여 3차원 얼굴을 복원하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험결과에서는 특징점 자동 추출 오류를 고려하지 않은 기존 방법과 비교한 결과, 제안방법의 3차원 얼굴 복원 성능이 크게 향상되었음을 확인하였다. A widely used single image-based 3D face reconstruction method, 3D morphable shape model, reconstructs an accurate 3D facial shape when 2D facial feature points are correctly extracted from an input face image. However, in the case that a user's cooperation is not available such as a real-time 3D face reconstruction system, this method can be vulnerable to the errors of automatic facial feature point extraction. In order to solve this problem, we automatically classify extracted facial feature points into two groups, erroneous and correct ones, and then reconstruct a 3D facial shape by using only the correctly extracted facial feature points. The experimental results showed that the 3D reconstruction performance of the proposed method was remarkably improved compared to that of the previous method which does not consider the errors of automatic facial feature point extraction.

Many cost-containment measures have been introduced in Korea to stabilize increasing pharmaceutical expenditure. Recent changes, such as a government-mandate price cut for generics and off-patent products in Korea, can be viewed as a stepping stone for a new policy such as reference pricing. The purpose of this study is to understand reference pricing in other countries and draw implication for Korea. A literature review was conducted on MEDLINE and EMBASE using ‘reference pricing’ and ‘reference price’ as keywords. We reviewed studies according to the established criteria. A hand search was conducted to include broader categories of studies and reports related to reference pricing. Reference pricing was adopted in many countries in order to control rapidly growing pharmaceutical expenditure. The system evolved differently over many years among markets depending on the healthcare system and pricing policies. In terms of market response, reference pricing had a huge impact on both the prescription behavior and price level in many countries. However, overall savings seemed to be moderate so the payers eventually came up with more comprehensive cost-containment policies either in addition to reference pricing or following the abolishment of it. Considerable portion of cost savings came from increased patient co-payments in some countries. It is unclear to tell whether the reference pricing system will be able to yield much savings to the government if it is introduced in Korea. More researches on the system`s implication to the stakeholders should be conducted to further study the effects of the system.

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy vault system using iris data. The fuzzy vault, proposed by Juels and Sudan, has been used to protect cryptographic key with biometric information. In order to combine the fuzzy vault scheme with iris data, we used iris features extracted by ICA method and clustering technique. From our experimental results, we proved that the propose fuzzy vault system is robust to sensed environmental change.

Fuzzy vault is a cryptographic method that encrypt and decrypt a secret data with a key, which may contain some errors. So this method is suitable for combining with biometric data. In order to use biometric information as a key of fuzzy vault, there are three requirements. In this paper, we present the three requirements and propose iris feature extraction method based on random projection in order to apply for fuzzy vault.

Recent research has focused mostly on semantic segmentation using only RGB images. However, in adverse weather conditions, such as nights with low light or heavy rain obscuring most objects, the performance of RGB image-based models can significantly deteriorate. To solve this problem, semantic segmentation models based on the sensor fusion of long-wave infrared (LWIR) images and RGB images have been studied. However, those models encountered a problem of slow inference speed when embedded into edge devices. Therefore, this paper proposes an approach to improving the inference speed of the semantic segmentation model that fuses LWIR images and RGB images.

Recent research has focused heavily on semantic segmentation using only RGB images. However, in adverse weather conditions, such as nights with low light or heavy rain obscuring most objects, the performance of artificial intelligence models can significantly deteriorate. For example, when a model trained solely on RGB images attempts to detect a river under circumstances involving nighttime and rain, it is highly likely to yield poor results. Therefore, this paper proposes a solution by training models robust to such situations through sensor fusion of long-wave infrared (LWIR) images and RGB images.
