        ‘에너지와 수송 기술 체험활동’에서 실습주제 특성에 따른 실습 과제 선정

        이 연구는 기술․가정 교과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’에서 실습 주제의 특성에 따른 실습 과제를 선정하는데 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 실습 주제 특성의 기준이 되는 속성들과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’ 단원에서 사용되어지는 실습 과제들을 조사하여 상대적 중요도를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기술․가정 교과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’에서 실습 주제의 특성의 기준이 되는 속성들 간의 상대적 중요도를 이원 비교한 결과, 각 속성들의 상대적 중요도는 교육 효과, 실습 결과물의 다양성, 최근기술 관련정도, 실용성, 실습 준비 용이성, 안전성의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기술․가정 교과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’에서 실습 주제 특성의 기준이 되는 속성에 따라 실습 과제를 이원 비교하였다. 분석 결과 ‘안전성’에서는 무동력 글라이더, ‘교육 효과’에서는 하이브리드 자동차, ‘실습준비 용이성’에서는 무동력 글라이더, ‘실습결과물의 다양성’에서는 하이브리드 자동차, ‘최근 기술관련 정도’에서는 하이브리드 자동차, ‘실용성’에서는 하이브리드 자동차가 상대적 중요도에서 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 기술․가정 교과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’에서 실습 주제의 특성의 기준이 되는 속성에 따른 종합 가중치를 산출하면 하이브리드 자동차, 태양광 풍력모형 자동차, 더블클립 자동차, 무동력 글라이더, 풍력 발전기, 알루미늄 포일배 순으로 나타났다. 적합한 실습 과제로는 하이브리드 자동차가 선정되었다. 따라서 기술․가정 교과 ‘에너지와 수송기술 체험활동’에서 교사는 실습 주제 특성의 기준이 되는 속성에 따라 우선 순위가 가장 높은 실습 과제를 선정할 수 있을 것이다. This research aims to provide basic data for selecting practice tasks according to the characteristics of practice themes in ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ of the technology and home economics studies. To achieve this purpose, the properties that are the criteria of the characteristics of the practice theme and the practice tasks that are used in the ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ unit were investigated and their relative importance was analyzed, and the results of the analysis are as follows. First, the results of simultaneous comparison of the relative importance of the properties that are the criteria of the characteristics of the practice theme in ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ of the technology and home economics studies showed that the relative importance of the individual properties were shown in the order of educational effect, diversity of practice outcomes, the level of relation with latest technology, practicality, the easiness of practice preparation, and safety. Second, the practice tasks according to the properties that are the criteria of the characteristics of the practice theme in ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ of the technology and home economics studies were compared simultaneously. The results of the analysis showed that in ‘safety’, non-powered glider, in ‘educational effect’, hybrid automobile, in ‘the easiness of practice preparation’, non-powered glider, in ‘diversity of practice outcomes’, hybrid automobile, in ‘the level of relation with latest technology’, hybrid automobile, and in ‘practicality’, hybrid automobile were high in the relative importance. Third, the overall weighted values calculated according to the properties that are the criteria of the characteristics of the practice theme in ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ of the technology and home economics studies were highest in hybrid automobile, followed by photovoltaic wind power model car, double-clip car, non-powered glider, wind power generator, and aluminum foil vessel. The hybrid car was selected as the suitable practice task. Therefore, teachers will be able to select the highest priority practice task depending on the property that is the basis for the characteristics of practical themes in ‘Energy and Transportation Technology Experience Activities’ of the technology and home economics studies.

        Effects of Snoezelen Therapy on Stress, Anxiety, Depression, and Quality of Life of College Students with Game Addiction

        Purpose: Despite the existence of Snoezelen method, there is no case of researching the effects on game addiction. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of Snoezelen therapy on stress, depression, anxiety and quality of life of college students who overuse computer games or mobile phone games. Methods: Eight students who responded to spend more than 30 hours of computer or mobile phone games in the selection questionnaire were recruited (The total respondents were 224 students). Students were randomly assigned to either the study group (4 students) or the control group (4 students). Stress (Korean version of Perceived Stress Scale, K-PSS), depression (Korean Screening Tool for Depression Disorders, K-DEP), Anxiety (Korean Beck Anxiety Inventory, K-BAI) and quality of life (Short Form Health Survey version 2 [SF-36]) were assessed three times (before intervention [pre], post-3 weeks [post 1], post-6 weeks [post 2]). Results: First, the study group (-4.75±3.86) and control group (1.00±2.71) showed significant difference (p<0.05) in the analysis of score changes between pre-test and test at 6 weeks (post 2) for K-DEP. Next, pre-test and test at 3 weeks of intervention (post 1) for K-BAI showed significant difference (p<0.05) in the study group (-2.50±1.91) and control group (2.25±2.99). In addition, pre-test and test at 6 weeks (post 2) showed significant difference (p<0.05) for the study group (-3.00±1.51) and control group (4.75±6.24). Conclusion: The study confirmed the possibility of Snoezelen therapy as a therapy method to induce effective responses in stress, depression, anxiety, and quality of life of college students with game addiction.

        Adverse Factors and the Role of Cisplatin and Vinca Alkaloids for Hearing Impairment in Childhood Cancer Patients and Survivors

        Background: Although combined chemotherapy has increased survival rates among children with cancer, such treatments can induce sensorineural hearing loss. Therefore, we aimed to identify risk factors for hearing impairments in patients with childhood cancer. Methods: Audiograms were obtained from 115 patients with childhood cancer and survivors (age <20 years). Pure tone audiometry (PTA) was performed at octave intervals within the range of 250-8000 Hz. We evaluated clinical risk factors associated with hearing impairments. Hearing loss was evaluated based on the maximal decibel (dB) loss in any frequency for each ear (RAmax or LAmax) and weighted mean dB loss for specific frequencies (RAavg or LAavg). Results: Forty percent of patients (N=46) exhibited hearing loss >20 dB based on the weighted mean value in either ear. Severe hearing impairments were observed in 56% of patients with brain tumors. Although cisplatin or vinca alkaloids were significant risk factors for hearing impairment, the use of both cisplatin and vinca alkaloids exhibited the highest odds ratio for hearing impairment (P<0.001, <0.001 for R/LAmax; P=0.099, 0.039 for R/LAavg). Multivariate analysis revealed that the use of both cisplatin and vinca alkaloids was an independent risk factor for hearing impairment based on RAmax, LAmax, and LAavg (P<0.001, <0.001, 0.039, respectively). Conclusion: Our findings indicate that cisplatin and vinca alkaloids exert an additive effect on the risk of hearing impairment in survivors of childhood cancer. Further prospective studies are thus required to determine the most effective chemotherapeutic regimen for reducing ototoxicity.
