Recently municipal sewage and faculty-effluents containing considerable nitrogen and phosphate are flowing at river and coastal sea area, eutrophication-phenomenon is altered, and it is more and more advanced. As the method of municipal sewage-treatment is a activated sludge process in this nation, only organic carbon and suspended solids are being removed, however, N and P-compds are not being entirely treated, eutrophication phen-omenon is more and more aggravated. From Jan. of 1996, N and P compounds are being controlled, in the nation however, moderate treatment-system does not yet exist. Then, in this study, anaerobic -$gt; anoxic -$gt; aerobic process was used as N and P compounds removal system. P compds-removal is conducted as follows; at anaerobic tank, it is released, and it is intaked into bacteral cells at aerobic tank. N compds-removal is as follows; nitrification reaction is occurred at aerobic tank, denitrification reaction is establised at anaerobic tank. In general, under the N-removal reaction, organic carbon and alkalinity are needed, in this research, without those chemicals, N and P-removal reaction is found possible.

결론 1972년부터 1974년까지 총392명에서 시행한 외회전술 511회에 대하여 연구 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) E.C.D.의 성공율은 1회 시도에서 78%, 2회 시도에서 77%, 3회 이상 시도에서 48% 이었다. 2) 두위분만의 최종성공율은 79.0% 이었다. 3) 임신기간에 따른 두위분만의 성공율은 34주 이전 이 94%, 34-35주에서 88%, 36-37주가 78%, 38-39주가 54%, 40주에서 45% 이었다. 4) 외회전술자체로 인한 주산기사망은 한 예도 없었다. 5) 주산기사망은 외회전술을 시도할 수 없는 쌍태아와 2,000gm 미만아를 제외하고 전 병원 둔위분만군, 전 병원 둔위분만군, 외회전술의 경험이 없었던 둔위분만군과 비교할 때 외회전술군이 현저히 낮았다. 6) 외회전술군과 전 병원분만군에서 제왕절개수술율을 비교하면 둔위는 두위보다 약 3배나 더 높았다. 7) 외회전술의 처음 시도에서 실패한 경우 자연전향율은 14%이었고, 성공한 경우에서 재 자연전향율은 12% 이었으며 외회전술의 성공율은 34주 이전이 훨씬 높았지만 최종 성공율은 큰 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결론을 요약하여 보면, 외회전술은 주산기사망율은 감소시키고, 제왕절개수술의 빈 도를 감소시키며, 마취없이 조심히 행하면 안전하다. 자연전향은 물론 자주 일어나나 어느 경우에 자연전향이 될 것인지 알 수 없으므로 적당한 산모에서 외회전술을 시도한는 것은 유익하다고 생각한다. 회전시기는 양수의 양과 자궁의 긴장성에 따라 달라야 하며 32주에 서 35주가 가장 좋은 시기였으나 만산까지도 외회전술을 시도해 볼 만 하다고 생각한다. The purpose of this study is to see if the perinatal mortality in breech presentation can be reduced by doing external cephalic version at the appropriate time in as many as possible . Excluding version for transverse lie and breech versions not finally delivered in hospital, this study is based on a total of 392 patients on whom 511 versions were attempted from 1st of January 1972 to 31st of December 1974. The results are as follows: 1. E.C.V. reduces perinatal loss. 2. E.C.V. reduces caesarean section cases. 3. E.C.V. is safe if gently done, no anesthesia. 4. Spontaneous version occurs frequently, but it is impossible to know in which cases it will occur, so every patient should have the benefit of version. 5. The time of version should be individualized, according to amount of liquor and uterine tone. The best time is between 32-35weeks, but it is never too late to attempt.

Presently, the treatment process is 2nd treatment system as a biological activated sludge, which is able to treat only organic meterials and suspended solids, and is unable to remove nitrogen and phosphoric compounds. Like this case, in this paper, the removal of nutritive materials in low concentrated synthetic waste-water which corresponds to municipal sewage studied by anaerobic -anoxic-oxic pilot plant(A2/O process). The results obtained are as follows. 1) Presently, the removal of nutritive materials such as nitrogen and phosphoric compounds is impossible, but throughout this study, the possibility of the removal of nutritive materials is found by the A2/O process. 2) In this experimental study, the removal efficiency is as follows, BOD 84%, COD 80%, T-N 77.0% and T-P 83%. 3) This results, if the present municipal waste water treatment-system is a little modified, the removal-problems of nutritive materials such as nitrogen and phosphoric compounds is possible.

In this paper, the removal of COD in paper mill wastewaters was studied. The characteristics of wastewaters in pulp and paper process were investigated. As paper mill wastewaters especially contain much non-bio-degradable substances, high content of COD in wastewater is effluent. Then the substances inducing COD and the substitutes for decreasing COD were searched, as the result, this paper presented the counter plans for the decrease in COD.
