슈미트 햄머법 비파괴 시험에 의한 현무암 골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 강도 평가

This paper is intended to provide the reference data on the standardization of nondestructive test of concrete using basalt aggregate produced in Cheju island. Compressive strength and rebound number of schmidt hammer are measured. Concrete using granite stone are also tested. According to experimental results, compressive strength of concrete using basalt aggregate is highly estimated compared to that using granite stone about 10~20% for same rebound number condition. It is urgently necessary to prescribe modified evaluation formular of compressive strength with schmidt hammer considering our condition because existing estimation formular provided in Japan underestimate the compressive strength of concrete using basalt aggregate.

In this paper, tests are carried out using concrete with basalt aggregate produced in Cheju island, in order to provide the combined strength evaluation method of concrete by applying the rebound number and ultrasonic pulse velocity based on the multi repression. Combined strength evaluation method of concrete using basalt aggregates are compared to that using granite aggregate. Compressive strength of concrete using basalt aggregate is highly estimated compared to that using granite aggregate under the same rebound number about 5~15%, and about 50~70% under the same ultrasonic pulse velocity. The kinds of aggregates have an significant influence on the combined strength evaluation method. Therefore, Standardization of nondestructive test fix compressive strangth of concrete produced in Cheju island is available by using the results of this study.

This study is an experimental study on the spalling resistance of high performance concrete with PP fiber contents and material for lateral confinement. According to the results, spalling occurs to all specimens that do not contain PP fiber and it is prevented in the specimens containing PP fiber by more than 0.05% after heating, so it shows good effect on the spalling resistance. Variation of material kind for lateral confinement, metal lath shows the best effect on spalling resistance, and glass fiber and carbon fiber do not show good effect on the spalling resistance due to reduction of bond strength by high temperature. While the residual compressive strength shows about 80% of its original strength in the specimen confined laterally by PP fiber contents and metal lath, it decreases a bit in the range of 50~60% of its original strength because of reduction of the bond strength.

This study is intended to analyze the relationship between the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer and the compressive strength for a quality control of concrete. According to the results, the compressive strength of standard curing specimen increases in proportion to age, but that of air curing specimen hardly increases after 28 days. The rebound value of P type schmidt hammer, however, increases due to carbonation of concrete in air curing specimen. The correlativity between the rebound value and the compressive strength is very favorable in the case of standard curing specimen, but drops remarkably in the case of air curing specimen. Thus, as application of age coefficient is required for exact estimation of the compressive strength, the age coefficient is derived from this study. The age coefficient of P type schmidt hammer is higher at the age of 3 and 7days, and drops significantly, compared with the age of 28days. And it is lower before 28days than that of N type schmidt hammer suggested in Japan, and shows the similar tendency after 28days.

This study is intended to investigate the relationship between the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer and compressive strength at early age(until 1day), synthesizing the studies on estimation of compressive strength by P type schmidt hammerby this time for confirming compressive strength of 5MPa at which side form can be removed. Regression formula between rebound value of P type schmidt hammer and compressive strength is shown as Y=0.00131 e2.5821m(X), and correlativity is favorable (coefficient of correlation 0.895). After analyzing the regression line as confidence coeffient(0.05) by estimate analysis, the allowance limit of y versus x is obtained. Rebound value of P type schmidt hammer, which compressive strength is more than 5MPa, shows 29, based on the lower limit of allowance limit. Therefore, if rebound value of P type schmidt hammer is more than 29, it is thought that compressive strength of concrete exceeds 5MPa under the condition of normal ready mixed concrete.

This study investigates influence on concrete adding beverage or detergent, by work man``s mistakes during concrete placement in field. Overall, concrete adding beverage or detergent does not affect slump and air, compared with control concrete. However concrete adding detergent resulted in significantly higher air content, due to inter facial activation ingredient. For the properties of setting time, concrete adding lactic acid beverage indicated the longest retarding properties, next was coffee and soft drink in order. Compressive strength of concrete, which retarded setting time, exhibited slightly improved value at 7 and 28 days respectively, while that of concrete adding detergent significantly decreased, due to higher air content.

This study is intended to investigate the relationship between rebound value and the compressive strength with variation of kinds of cement and replacing ratio of admixture, as a series of the study about early strength quality control by P type schmidt hammer. According to the results, the compressive strength and the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer show high value in order of AMC, UHC, OPC, and in the case of AMC and UHC, they are very high at early age in comparison with that of OPC. In the case of concrete using BS, they are lower than that of plain concrete until 7 days, but are higher at the age of 28 days. In the case of concrete using FA, they is lower than that of plain concrete on the whole. As for estimation of the compressive strength, concrete using UHC is similar to OPC, but concrete using AMC shows some difference, so it is thought that consideration about this is necessary. Concrete using BS does not show difference with plain concrete as for estimation of the compressive strength, but in the case of concrete using FA, the compressive strength is estimated high by 18kgf/㎠ and 36kgf/㎠ at the same rebound value in the replacing ratio of 10% and 20% respectively.

This paper reports the influence of aggregate factors on estimation of compressive strength by non-destructive test. According to the results, in the case of basalt and limestone aggregate, the compressive strength and the rebound value of schmidt hammer is larger and smaller than in the case of granite aggregate respectively. And, as the influence of maximum size of aggregate, they are higher in the case of maximum size of 25mm than in the case of maximum size of 10 and 20mm. Ultrasonic pulse velocity is similar in the case of lime stone aggregate, but grows slow in the case of basalt aggregate compared with granite aggregate. But the influence of maximum size of aggregate on ultrasonic pulse velocity is minute. Estimating compressive strength by rebound hammer method, the same estimating expressions can be applied to the field since the kinds and maximum size of aggregate do not influence on estimation of compressive. But, as for estimation of compressive strength by ultrasonic pulse velocity method, compressive strength is estimated more highly by 10MPa in the case of basalt aggregate, but the influence of maximum size of aggregate is minute.
