        The objectives of this research are to elucidate the filtration process and to provide a correlation between the particulate mass and pressure drop. The accumulated particulate mass is the most important parameter to determine the start of DPF regeneration. In this study, measurements and analysis of the soot mass and pressure drop were performed to achieve the research objectives. Particulate mass was measured using a tissuquartz glass fiber filter and the pressure drop was measured using the single channel DPF system which was specially designed to control flow rate and temperature independently. The soot mass and the pressure drop, which was calculated for the cake layer of particulates and the ceramic wall by the one dimensional Darcy뭘law, were used to obtain the hydrodynamic resistance factors and the pressure drop of cake layer due to soot mass deposited on unit area. From the results, the pressure drop was observed to increase as the approach velocity increased and was expressed as a function of soot mass, approach velocity and DPF geometry.

        DPF(Diesel Particulate Filters) is very effective in trapping the diesel particulate emission and must be regenerated either continuously or periodically. The accumulated particulate mass is the most important parameter which can be used to determine when and how to regenerate. It can be calculated from the back pressure of DPF through an appropriate modeling with some parameters and constants determined from experiments. However, it is very difficult to measure the pressure drop data at various conditions accurately from conventional DPF system. In this study, the partial flow system using single channel DPF was developed to acquire the decoupled back pressure data from inlet particulate mass, temperature and flow rate respectively. The permeability of EX-80 was determined whose value was 8.3E-13㎡ based on air flow experiment. It was shown that the properties of soot cake on the DPF wall vary with the filtration velocity at constant temperature.

        1:N HUB 기능을 가진 원격검침 단말기 개발에 따른 AMI 보급 추진 방안 연구

        본 연구에서는 1(단말기):N(소형 전송기) 방식의 AMI단말기를 개발하였다. 현재 정부 주관 부처를 필두로 도시가스산업의 낙후된 계량시스템 선진화를 위해 가스 AMI 실증사업에 몰두하고 있다. 가스 스마트계량기의 보급은 사생활 침해 및 검침정보의 불확실성을 해소하고, 가스누출 감지를 통한 소비자 안전까지 대비할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 기존 스마트계량기의 경우 단말기와 전송기가 1:1 방식이었던 반면 본 기술은 1:N 방식을 적용하여 하나의 단말기로 다세대까지 확장 설치할 수 있으며, 저전력 설계를 구현하여 배터리 수명을 연장할 수 있는 기술이 적용되었다. 본 연구가 향후 가스 AMI 보급 사업에 기여할 것을 기대해본다. In this study, we developed AMI terminals of 1 (reader): N (small transmitter). Currently, the government is focusing on the Gas AMI demonstration project to advance the outdated metering system of the urban gas industry, led by the government-sponsored ministries. The supply of gas AMI meters has the advantage of resolving uncertainties in privacy violations and measurement information and preparing for consumer safety through gas leakage detection. In the case of existing AMI meters, readers and transmitters were 1:1 methods, while this technology can be extended to multiple generations with a 1:N method, and a technology that can extend battery life by implementing a low-power design is applied. We hope that this research will contribute to the gas AMI supply project in the future.

      • 해리성 대동맥류의 외과적 치료

        해리성 대동맥류는 매우 위급한 상태이며 사망률이 매우 높은 질환으로 신속한 응급치료 특히 외과적 수술이 필요한 질환이며, 수술방법은 아직도 꾸준히 고안되고 발전되어 고도의 기술을 필요로 한다. 1987년 1월부터 1997년 12월까지 총 73명의 해리성 대동맥류 환자가 내원하였으며 이중 수술적 치험을 한 31명을 대상으로 치료원칙, 수술방법, 결과 등을 검토하여 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하고자한다. Aortic dissection is one of the true emergencies confronting cardiac surgeons. This study is to evacuate the results of operation for aortic dissection. Between Jan., 1987 and Dec., 1988, we operated on a total of 31 cases of aortic dissection at the Inje University Seoul Paik Hospital. There were 22 male and 9 female patients aged from 29 to 65 years(mean, 49.8 years). Eight patients(25.8%) had Marfan syndrome. 19 patients underwent an emergency operation for Stanford type A aortic dissection. Surgical technique for type A included graft replacement of ascending aorta in 6 cases, graft replacement and aortic valve resuspension in 5, Bentall operation in 4, modified Cabrol operation in 2, and ascending aorta and proximal aortic arch replacement under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest in 2. 12 patients of type B were operated on according to specific indications. The operative mortality accounts for 9.6% (3 out of 31). There were 6 late deaths as the results of cerebrovascular accident in 1, myocardial infarction in 1, and aortic rupture in 4. In conclusion, these patients of aortic dissection with type A or type B should be monitored on a long-term basis by the cardiac surgeon, because of the late aneuysmal deterioration. Immediate aggressive management and early surgical intervention for patients with aortic dissection is probably in responsible for the substantially improved results.
