        The educational framework established by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT) can provide a valuable reference for the development of domestic sports rehabilitation curricula. This curriculum, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, is designed to enhance students’ practical skills. In doing so, it fosters problem-solving abilities underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical case studies, contributing to comprehensive expertise in the field of sports rehabilitation. However, certain challenges impede the progression of sports rehabilitation education in Korea, including a lack of awareness about the field, the absence of standardized curricula, and ambiguous differentiation from physical education departments. Presently, BASRaT is undertaking curriculum standardization with accreditation conferred to 20 universities and seven graduate schools. This curriculum encompasses 15 core subjects: Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Sports Injuries, Musculoskeletal Assessment, Sports Massage, Academic Skills/Methods of Enquiry, Evidence Based Practice, Injury Treatment Modalities, Principles of Exercise and Rehabilitation, Sports Psychology, Sports Biomechanics, Exercise Prescription for Public Health and Wellbeing. This study is predicated on the curriculum put forth by BASRaT. The findings shed light on a systematic approach to the curriculum development for Korea’s Department of Sports Rehabilitation, considering the key elements of BASRaT’s framework. Such an approach can enhance domestic students’ professional skills and competitiveness, provided the educational methods and evaluations are appropriately designed. Moreover, this emphasis on the BASRaT curriculum can foster professionals with specialized expertise in the domain of domestic sports rehabilitation.
