This study aims to analyse the characteristics of Daegu Citizens' demand of exhibition and performance arts. For this study, learning existing literature and empirical research were conducted. The results basically indicate that the citizens in Daegu have a low degree of participation in exhibition and performance arts. The main reason is that the programs of cultural events do not draw great attention to the citizens. Therefore, it would be important to provide more public cultural facilities with new programs that meet the citizens' tastes. Moreover, the study found that the citizens of thirties are the most active participants. So, it would be important to target those citizens of thirties by providing a new set of programs and events for them. It should be also considered that new culturaI facilities should be located in the central area of Daegu. OveraII, the results of the study indicate that cultural events should be designed to serve the general public through popular programs. Partial1y, for exhibition events, the provision of public information is important in terms of increasing participation, but low-cost is an decisive factor to increase participation in concerts and dramatic performances. CulturaI learning is an important part for housewives. In order to widen their paπicipation, time schedules and contents of cultural learning should be more flexible and varÌous.

The main purpose of this paper is to design parking demand management strategies for enhancing subway choice probability in Daegu Metropolitan City. For fulfilling this purpose, at first, this paper critically reviews various parking demand management policies presently adopted in Daegu Metropolitan City. Furthermore, this paper analyzes various data on parking supply, parking operation, parking fare systems, parking regulations, and others, including survey data collected from citizens in Daegu Metropolitan City. Based on various parking policy analyses and parking data, this paper suggests parking demand management strategies for enhancing subway choice probability in Daegu Metropolitan City. The policy suggestions include various strategies on parking supply and operation, parking fare systems, regulations and enforcement on illegal parking, and others. Especially, for designing the strategies, this paper attempts to find out parking policy tools inconsistent with mass transportation policies.
주차장 이용의식을 기초로 한 불법주차 과태료 영향요인에 관한 연구

This study focused on variations of the illegal parking fine in order to reduce the illegal parking in CBD. We analyzed the impact factors about the change of parking user"s illegal parking behaviors using Quantification Theory Ⅱ, with the data collected from Daegu Metropolitan City. The exogenous variables are whether parking users will do the illegal parking or not, and the impact factors are the personal attributes of parking users, such as age, job, income, the illegal parking experience, etc. In the discriminant model of Quantification Ⅱ Theory, the total hit ratio of the impact is very high as 74.1%. The results of the study show that the age was the most effective impact factor among the personal attributes of parking users, and the next is the job, etc.
국가 간 항공여객수송량 변화추이와 결정요인에 관한 연구

This paper analyzes yearly variation of the air passenger travel volume between Korea and foreign countries. Using aggregated data, yearly variation of the air passenger travel volume is analyzed. The paper includes some descriptive statistical analyses on time-series data of the international air passenger travel volume. The analysis is conducted on the period between the year 2002 and 2012. Furthermore, some direct air travel demand models are developed by panel regression analysis for finding factors affecting the air passenger travel volume of each international route connecting Korea. The analytical results are summarized as follows. First, it is found that the air passenger travel volume for international routes connecting Korea had been increased between the year 2002 and 2012, excluding period between the year 2008 and 2009. Secondly, it is found that GDP or GDP per capita of origin and destination countries, amount of export/import between origin and destination countries, exchange rate, and the number of LCC routes(lines) between origin and destination countries are important factors affecting the air passenger travel volume between Korea and Asian countries. Thirdly, it is found that GDP of origin and destination countries, amount of export/import between origin and destination countries, and exchange rate are important factors affecting the air passenger travel volume between Korea and non-Asian countries.
환경친화적 도시교통체계의 구축을 위한 모형정립과 적용가능성에 관한 연구

Air quality data show empirically that transportation is the major source of urban air pollution. With the application of the integrated paradigm, the pursuit of a single objective such as minimizing travel time is no longer a primary concern in decision-making process. Rather a search for a suitable balance between transport costs and compatibly configured environmental planning is desirable. Based on the interactions between traditional user equilibrium(TUE) model and environment-capacitated user equilibrium(ECUE) model, the main focus is given to experiment the hypothesis that environment-friendly traffic assignment can be obtained or not. Using the concepts on congestion level of transport network, degree of congestion concentration, and traffic concentration ratio, two models are analyzed. From the empirical applications on Taegu City, one of the most exemplary findings in ECUE model is that, notwithstanding the total travel time is increased by 38.9%, the average NOx concentration level decreased by 87.9%. It is crucial that the ECUE model be properly coordinated in recognition of travel costs and air quality improvement simultaneously. Further research that provides (1) showing the spatial variation of pollution levels along the intersec tions, (2) more developing combined paradigm between transport, land use, and environment, (3) using environmental road capacity rather than physical traffic capacity can contribute usefully to the applications of the real and efficient ECUE model.

Traveler's behavior is affected by real-time traffic information. Recently, in urban area, real-time traffic information is provided by several instruments such as transportation broadcasting, internet PC network, and variable message sign, etc. Furthermore, it has been increasing for urban travelers to use real-time traffic information provided by several ways. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of advanced traveler information on traveler's behavior. Among several Advanced Traveler Information System(ATIS) employed in urban area, this study focuses on examining the effects of transportation broadcasting on traveler's behavior. This study attempts to examine traveler's mode change behavior in the pre-trip stage and traveler's route change behavior in the en-route stage. For this study, the survey data collected from Daegu City in 2000 is used. For empirical analysis, several logit models are estimated. The important findings from the empirical analysis are as follows. First, commuters' mode change behavior in the pre-trip stage is affected by their income, travel time from home to work place, and incident information. Second, commuters' route change behavior in the en-route stage during peak hours is affected by listening frequency of RTI(Radio Traffic Information), number of traffic signal they can endure, and congestion information provided by radio broadcasting. Third, commuters' route change behavior in the en-route stage during off-peak hours is affected by age, time flexibility, number of traffic signal they can endure, and congestion information provided by radio broadcasting.
