Acridine Yellow doped boric acid glass saturable absorber is fabricated as nonlinear media and low power optical conjugation is achived by the degenerate four-wave mixing(DFWM) experiments. Polarization properties of optical phase conjugation by DFWM have been demonstrated in this materials using a c.w. argon ion laser at wavelength 488nm. The dependence of the phase conjugated reflectivity on the intensity and wavelength of the pump beam is examined.

The interaction of laser radiation with optical coatings is inverstigated by a cur and a pulsed two probe-beam photothermal technigue. Laser damage threshold studies on Al₂O₃, SiO₂, ZrO₂, TiO₂ single stacks are performed at λ=1 06㎛. And the absorption properties on these films are measured at cw Ar ion laser wavelength. The damage threshod of selected samples is influenced by the deposition technique

An optically variable thin film system is designed to exhibit a significant color shift with changing observation angle. This color shift is also calculated the angle dependent color performance of the optically variable films. Also in this design the shape of the reflectance curve and the degree of color shift with viewing angle for meta-dielectric films depends strongly on the dielectric layer thickness. The color difference shows by using color parameter, L^(*), a^(*), b^(*), for thickness and viewing angle.

The reflectance and transmittance of dielectric thin films at oblique angles of incidence have strong polarization effects. Inthis study, sone desigen methods are introduced, and proposed the non polarizing beam splitter using. the S₁ included three layers structures. Optical vortex were created using gaussian beam containing a pair of off-axis screw dislocation propagated through a dye-doped nonlinear medium. We have observed an enhancement of fluid like rotation of a pair of identical optical vortices as they propagate through nonlinear refractive medium. We measured this effect to be 2 times larger than in linear media. The vortex rotation angles that exceed the Gouy phase limit.

In this work show the structure of an all-dielectric omnidirectional mirror for visible bands. Periodic structure are designed using Na_(3)AlF_(6)/ZnS and MgF_(2)/ZnS multilayer structure developed by means of standard design technology. Designed structure was found to exhibit reflection coefficient more than 95% in the range of incident angles from 0° to 70° at the bothe polarization of visible spectrum.

In this work we used generalized theoretical formulation for multilayer antireflection coatings. The target specification is less than 0.5% reflectance over the region 400nm to 900nm at both normal incidence and at 30° incidance. The design method is a mixture of analysis and computer assistance. And analyzed 4 types antireflection coatings. We got the merit functions which were 0.204, 0.119, 0.279, 0.168 in A. B, C, and D types respectively

In this work, demonstrate an efficient method for measuring the orbital angular momentum of optical vortices. This method, based on a multipinhole interferometer and phase extracting from the Fourier transform of a multipinhole diffraction intensity pattern with a simple image processing. Using this method the optical angular momentum of the photon can be measured quantitatively.
