The CO₂ emission can be decreased due to freedom of generator maintenance scheduling(GMS). This paper proposes assessment of CO₂ emissions in generator maintenance scheduling considering hydro and pumped generator. And also, this paper assesses the CO₂ emission due to freedom of GMS of generators owned by a designated generation company. The minimum reliability criterion level satisfied production cost minimization function model is used in this paper. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system model in Korea in 2010.

This paper proposes establishment of generator maintenance scheduling(GMS) considering minimization of CO₂ emissions. The objective function model to minimize CO₂ emissions is used in this paper. In this paper, and also, GMS is established due to freedom of GMS of generators owned by a designated generation company. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system model in Korea in 2010.

The maintenance of generating units is implicitly related with power system reliability and has a tremendous bearing on the operation of the power system. A technique using a fuzzy search method which is based on fuzzy multi-criteria function has been proposed for GMS (generator maintenance scheduling) in order to consider multi-objective function. In this study, a new technique using combined fuzzy set theory and genetic algorithm(GA) is proposed for generator maintenance scheduling. The genetic algorithm(GA) is expected to make up for that fuzzy search method might search the local solution. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by the simulation results on a practical size test systems.

This paper proposes a Web Based Online Real-time Information System for Outage Cost Assessment. This system developed in this study is just only prototype as previous stage but no commercial system. Using this system, the evaluation of reliability worth is the customer cost associated with a loss of supply may be assessed and the information will be serviced online real time on smart phone.

Electric power utilities are facing increasing uncertainties regarding the economic, political, societal, environmental constraints under they operate and plan their future systems. The utilities have to integrate consumers' interruption cost representing reliability worth of electricity into the process of determining the optimum investment level. In order to do so, the estimated outage cost must be included into quantitative index corresponding to system capital and operation investment cost to establish an optimal expansion plan. This paper is a study on the outage cost assessment by using macro approach for calculating IEAR(Interrupted Energy Assessment Rates) and the TRELSS(Transmission Reliability Evaluation for Large-Scale Systems) program was used to calculate EENS(Expected Energy Not Served).
