이 연구는 교육대학 입학시험의 하나로 활용되기 위해 개발된 교직적성검사(TAPST)의 타당화를 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 1, 2차에 나누어 현 교육대학생들과 실제 교대에 입학하려는 지원자들을 대상으로 TAPST를 실시하고, 이 검사의 신뢰도와 타당도를 분석하였다. 연구결과 TAPST의 신뢰도 계수는 1차 연구에서 Crobach α계수 .65 ~.86, 2차 연구에서 .63~.87의 범위를 보여 대체로 내적 일관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 1, 2차 연구 간에 매우 유사한 요인구조가 나타났다. 즉 TAPST는 교수능력, 연구능력, 창의성, 도덕성, 관용, 그리고 소명감 등으로 구성되어 있음을 시사하였다. 공인타당도 분석을 위해 1차 연구에서 한국행동과학연구소 인성검사(KPI)와 Gaugh와 Heilbrun(1983)의 창의성 척도, 그리고 수능점수, 내신 성적, 대학교 1학년 1학기 성적 등이 사용되었다. TAPST는 인성검사와 창의성척도 간에는 기대한 방향으로 유의하면서 높은 상관을 보였지만, 수능점수, 내신 성적, 대학교 1학년 1학기 성적 등과는 거의 관련이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 경향은 수능점수, 내신성적, 논술 및 면접 점수를 준거점수로 사용한 2차 연구에서도 마찬가지였다. 결론적으로 TAPST가 매우 높은 신뢰도와 구인타당도를 갖는 검사지만, 공인타당도 및 예언타당도를 포함한 준거타당도는 좀 더 검증될 필요가 있다. The study purposed to validate the Test of Aptitude for Primary School Teacher(TAPST) developed to explore the individual traits needed for the successful performance of a primary school teacher`s duties. Ultimately it was intended to test the applicability of TAPST to the entrance examination of all national universities of education in Korea. This study had two object groups: undergraduate students of the university and applicants to enter the university. The results are as followings. The similar patterns in coefficients of cronbach α ranged .65 ~.86 and .63~.87 in each survey, imply the innate consistency or reliability of the test. The exploratory factor analysis of each groups showed very similar factor structure with each other, which improved the construct validity of the test. The scores of TAPST were significantly and highly correlated with KPI and Creativity test scores, and not significantly with other scores of cognitive domain such as high school grades, university grades, which implies the high convergent and discriminant validity in criterion validity. Although the test showed high reliability and validity, it would be argued that the application of this test to the entrance examination presuppose the agreements of all national university of education.
