동해신항 유인물동량 추정을 위한 컨테이너화물 기종점 분석 연구

최근 우크라이나와 러시아의 전쟁과 전쟁 이전의 코로나 19로 인해 대러 교역 물동량이 감소하고 있는 상황이다. 특히 강원도 동해안권 항만은 부산을 비롯한 대형항만에 비해 극동러시아를 비롯한 환동해권 교역에 지리적 이점을 기반으로 수도권과 횡축물류권을 구축할 수 있는 기반을 조성하고 있다. 특히 동해신항에 컨테이너 화물 처리를 위한 잡화부두 1선석이 건설 중에 있으며, 신항건설이 완료되면 동해항도 잡화부두로 기능 변경을 통해 컨테이너 화물을 처리할 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 동해신항을 대상으로 하는 극동러시아, 일본 서안, 베트남을 대상으로 컨테이너 화물의 기종점을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 약 126,192TEU가 동해항을 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 컨테이너 처리를 위한 항만의 인프라, 항로 개설 등 동해신항의 활성화를 위한 전략을 도출하는데 기여할 것으로 판단된다. Due to the recent war between Russia and Ukraine in 2022, and the global pandemic from 2020 to 2021, trade volume with Russia has been decreasing. Ports in the east coast of Gangwon-do have a geographical advantage in the Far East and Russia trades compared to major domestic ports like Busan. Based on this circumstance, ports in Gangwon-do are creating a foundation to build the metropolitan area and the horizontal distribution area. Additionally, in accordance with the relocation of bulk cargo from Donghae Port to Donghae New Port, Donghae Port is also scheduled to handle container cargo by changing its function to a general pier. During the study, container cargo’s OD were analyzed for far East Russia, Japan's West Bank, and Vietnam, which are targeted at the Donghae New Port. As a result of the study, it is estimated that about 126,192TEU can use the Donghae New Port. This study will contribute to derive strategies for revitalization of Donghae New Port, such as the port infrastructure for container handling and the opening of routes.
