가덕도 주변 해역에 서식하는 어류의 종조성과 계절 변동을 알아보기 위해 꽃게통발을 이용하여 어류를 채집하였다. 1998년 1월부터 12월까지 매월 소조기에 채집된 어류는 26종과 49종이었다. 봉장어 (Conger myrister)가 가장 많이 채집되었으며, 그 다음으로 볼락 (Sebastes inermis), 쥐노래미 (Hexagrammos otakii), 노래미(H. agrammus), 쥐치 (Stephanolepis cirrhifer), 문절망둑(Acanthogobius flavimanus) 등이 많이 채집되었는데, 이들 6종이 전체 채집 개체수와 생체량의 67.1%와 69.4%를 차지하였다. 그 밖에도 말쥐치 (Tanmnaconus modestus), 복섬 (Takifugu niphobles), 그물코쥐치 (Rudarius erocodes), 그물제도라치 (Dictyosoma burgeri), 흰꼬리볼락 (Sebastes longispinis), 능성어(Epinephelus septemfasciatus) 등이 비교적 많이 채집되었다. 채집 종수는 11월에 28종으로 가장 많았고, 7월에 14종으로 가장 적었다. 개체수와 생체량은 모두 3월에 가장 높은 값을 보였으며, 개체수는 7월에 생체량은 9월에 가장 낮은 값을 나타냈다. 종다양도지수는 연중 큰 변동이 없는 편이었으나, 채집 어종수가 적고 쥐치와 말쥐치가 극우점하였던 8월에 가장 낮은 값을 보였다. The monthly collected fish samples by crab pots were analyzed in order to study the species composition and seasonal variation of fish assemblage in the coastal waster off Gadeok-do, Korea in 1998. During the study period, 49 species of fishes representing 26 families were collected. The dominant species were Conger myrister, Sebastes inermis, Hexagrammos otakii, H. agrammus, Stephanolepis cirrhifer and Acanthogobius flavimanus. These 6 dominant species accounted for 67.1% and 69.4% in the number of individuals and biomass, respectively. The secondary importance species were Tanmnaconus modestus, Takifugu niphobles, Rudarius erocodes, Dictyosoma burgeri, Sebastes longispinis and Epinephelus septemfasciatus. The highest number of species was collected in November, and the number of individuals and biomass were highest in March. But the lowest numbers of species and individuals were collected in July and the lowest biomass in September. Although the species diversity indices varied little monthly, the lowest value was recorded in August because of small number of species and predominance of S. cirrhifer and T. modestus.
한국 미기록종 넓적꼬리도둑갈매기(Stercorarius pomarinus)의 국내 관찰기록

2008년 1월 8일과 9일 양일간 넓적꼬리도둑갈매기(Stercorarius pomarinus) 3개체를 울산 연안에서 관찰하였다. 발견된 개체 중 2개체는 성체였으며 1개체는 미성숙개체로 판단되었다. 본종은 국내에 공식적인 기록이 없던 종으로 한국미기록종으로 보고한다. Three individuals of Pomarine Skuas (Stercorarius pomarinus) were observed on the southern part of the East Sea, off Ulsan city, on 8th and 9th January 2008. Two individuals were adults. One individual was supposed to be a juvenile. This was the first record in Korea.

N/A The monthly collected fish samples by three sides fyke nets were analyzed in order to study species composition and seasonal variation of fish assemblage in the coastal water off Gadeok-do, Korea through a year of 1998. During the study period, a total of 136 fish species of 69 families were collected. Trachurus japonicus, Konosirus punctatus and Mugil cephalus were three dominant species in the fish assemblage and they accounted for 63.7% and 83.1% in the number of individuals and biomass, respectively. Fish species of secondary importance in abundance were Leiognathus nuchalis, Takifugu niphobles, Scomber japonicus, Trichiurus lepturus, Chelon affinis, Apogon lineatus, Nibea albiflora and Acanthopagru schlegeli. The highest number of species was collected in July and the lowest in February. Abundance was high in spring, and low in winter. Species diversity indices showed that the fish assemblage was less diverse in spring than any other seasons.

Seasonal variation of a shrimp community in the eelgrass(Zostera marina) bed in Kwangyang Bay, Korea was studied based on the monthly collected samples through a year of 1994. The shrimp community in the eelgrass bed was composed of 26 species of shrimps representing 6 families. The community was dominated by Heptacarpus pandaloides, Crangon affinis, Eualus leptognathus, Latreutes acicularis, Heptacarpus rectirostris, Heptacarpus geniculatus, and Latreutes laminirostris. Most of species were the small-sized species with carapace length smaller than 25㎜. The peak abundance occurred in the late winter and spring and low abundances in autumn. More than 10 species were collected every month except july(8 species). Species diversity indices showed that the shrimp species were more diverse during the late summer, and lesser during the late autumn. Predominance of Crangon affinis in the late autumn caused such a low diversity. The shrimps in the study area could be groped into three groups on the basis of their occurrence patterns: resident species, seasonal species, and temporary species. More abundant and more diverse shrimps were collected during nighttime than daytime.
