In this study, a GFRP material was employed instead of steel to increase the strength of rock bolts, improve their corrosion resistance, and satisfy requirements for permanent support. Basic data were proposed to introduce the GFRP rock bolts by comparing them with the existing conventional steel rock bolts, and to evaluate the performance of the GFRP rock bolts through a shearing test.
