Purpose: This systematic review aims to provide an overview of research related to grit among nursing college students in South Korea. Methods: A literature search was done using RISS, KISS, and KCI to identify studies written in Korean from 2010 to 2023. Results: A total of 210 articles were searched, and a final 26 articles were selected in the analysis based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Three researchers independently coded the characteristics and key content of each paper, including research objectives, methodology, study participants, grit measurement methods, and the relationship between grit and other variables. Subsequently, these coded findings were used to collectively analyze and derive overarching themes through discussion. The analysis results indicated that grit was influenced by factors such as academic major satisfaction, academic performance, and resilience. Grit was found to be a psychological factor affecting nursing students, influencing both major-related competencies and career-related factors. Conclusion: The findings of this review contribute to a deeper understanding of grit within the specific demographic of nursing college students in South Korea and may inform future research and educational practices. In addition, this systematic review provides a comprehensive understanding of the literature on grit among nursing college students in South Korea and serves as a valuable resource for future research and educational interventions in this context.

Blood Meridian is an intriguing text exhibiting Cormac McCarthy’s appropriation of the Western genre. The classical Western depicts the confrontations between two contending forces—the East and the West, white settlers and native Americans, and civilization and wilderness—at the backdrop of the Wild West. On the other hand, the revisionist Western of the 1960s and the 1970s casts light on the unknown histories of the victims of violent suppression and genocide during the era of American imperial wars of the nineteenth century. Blood Meridian reveals the limits of both the classical Western and the revisionist Western with regards to characters, setting and theme. Set in the frontier, as the backdrop of the American myth of the West and Manifest Destiny, the novel severely criticizes American capitalism and imperialism, describing the Glanton gang’s merciless murders. It also blurs the boundaries between civilization and barbarism through its central character, Judge Holden, who incarnates universal evil and mindless violence. While Holden’s book represents knowledge and art that kills life through its aesthetic objectification, McCarthy’s novel ironically grants Holden an eternal life as a fictional character. Insinuating the intricate relations between violence and art, McCarthy demonstrates that art, including writing, creates life and thus makes redemption and regeneration possible.

In “The Murders in the Rue Morgue,” “The Man That Was Used Up,” and “The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar,” Edgar Allan Poe deconstructs the Eurocentric, anthropocentric definitions of “Man.” The orangutan’s “shrill voice,” the squeaky voice of a cyborgian war hero, and the disembodied voice of a patient under mesmeric treatment, appearing in these three stories, are altogether the acoustic signs that symbolize the dehumanized or posthuman conditions of humanity. While “The Murders in the Rue Morgue” exhibits the existence of the “animalistic” within the rational mind, in “The Man That Was Used Up” and “The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar,” readers hear “acousmatic” voices. Due to the ambiguity of the acousmatic voice, which exceeds and disturbs the boundaries of the body as its source, this voice can be considered a sublime object. Frequently seen in gothic and horror stories, the sublime object evokes a sense of terror and anxiety. Poe uses these voices and auditory effects to maximize a thrilling sensation essential to the gothic and horror genres.

스마트미디어 시대의 새로운 정보격차 유형과 해소방안에 대한 규범적 검토

정보화의 급속한 진전으로 현대생활에서 정보가 차지하는 비중은 비약적으로 증대하였으며, 이러한 정보기술의 발전은 미디어의 성격을 쌍방향화, 멀티미디어화 하였다. 최근에는 새로운 정보화의 추세인 모바일의 보급이 급속히 증가하면서 스마트폰, 모바일 서비스, 위치기반 서비스 등 스마트 기술의 등장과 함께 이제 정보사회를 넘어서 스마트 시대가 주목 받고 있다. 이러한 스마트 시대의 도래는 정보격차의 개념을 확장시키고 프레임을 변화시키고 있다. 스마트폰 이용자가 3천만 명을 넘어서는 등 스마트 모바일의 사회적 확산으로 물리적 접근격차가 크게 해소되고는 있지만, 스마트폰 보급 확산에 따라 PC 및 유선 인터넷 기반의 기존 격차와 스마트 기기 및 모바일 기반의 새로운 정보격차가 중첩 발생되고, 디지털 미디어의 활용능력에 따른 격차가 새로운 사회적 이슈로 등장하고 있다. 스마트 환경에서의 정보격차는 실생활에 전방위적으로 부정적 영향을 미치기 때문에, 정보화 성과 이면에 나타날 수 있는 정보격차 문제에 적극적으로 대응하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 스마트 시대의 모바일 확산과 함께 확장되고 변화하고 있는 정보격차의 개념 및 현상에 대하여 보다 심층적으로 검토하고, 헌법상의 정보격차에 대한 논의와 법제현황의 검토를 통해 정보격차의 해소를 위한 개선방안을 고찰하고자 한다. The purpose of this paper is examine the concept and pheno menon of the digital divide which expanded and changed with the proliferation of smart media era. Share information is occupied by modern life with the rapid development of the information was growing by leaps and bounds. And the nature of the media through development of these information technology has changed interactive and multi media. Recent advances in mobile penetration are increasing rapidly. Smart age is now drawing attention beyond the information society with the advent of smart technologies such as smart phones, mobile services, location-based services. The advent of smart age extends the concept of the digital divide and changing the frame. While physical access to the gap significantly has dissolve through socially proliferation of smart mobile, mobile-based new gap generating and the literacy gap between digital media has emerged as a new social issues. Because digital divide in smart environments exert a negative impact on life, it is important to actively respond to the digital divide.

국민연금이 소득분위별 가계의 저축과 자산구성 선택에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 「한국노동패널자료(KLIPS)」 를 이용하여 개인의 국민연금 자산(Social Security Wealth)을 추정하고 패널 회귀분석 모형을 통해 소득분위별 연금자산이 가계의 저축과 자산구성 선택에 미치는 영향을 실증분석하였다. 나아가 가계의 자산을 세분화하여 각 항목에 대해 연금자산이 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 자산구성 선택에 대한 효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 기존의 연구와 같이 연금자산이 가계순자산을 유의하게 구축하는 것을 보이며 소득분위가 높아짐에 따라 구축 정도가 작아지는 것으로 나타났다. 금융자산과 비금융자산 내의 세부 항목으로 나누어 분석한 결과는 예비적 저축의 성격을 가지는 예․적금과 보장성 보험, 그리고 부동산자산(비금융자산)을 유의하게 구축하는 것으로 나타났다. 상위 분위에 대한 구축효과가 작다는 분석 결과는 은퇴 전의 소득 불균형이 은퇴 후 노후소득의 불균형으로 이어질 수 있음을 시사한다고 볼 수 있다. 이와 같은 분석은 국민연금이 노후소득 보장 기능을 수행하여 사적저축의 대체재 역할을 하고 있음을 확인함과 동시에, 가계의 비금융자산이 개인적인 노후대비 수단으로 사용될 수 있음을 의미한다. This paper studies the effects of social security wealth on households’ portfolio choices by using panel regression with Korean Labor Income Panel Survey(KLIPS) data. We find that the crowding-out effects of social security wealth vary across income quintiles and households’ indebtedness. Household social security wealth significantly crowds out the net asset holdings of the households and its impacts are lower at the wealthy income quintile. In choice of household portfolio, the crowd-out effects stand out on the long-term deposit, life insurance and real estate. This finding suggests that the national pension service provides households with a partial insurance that insures against the income loss after retirement and that the reverse mortgage loan program might help the current retired smoothing their consumption after retirement.

스마트폰을 이용한 한국 간호대학생 대상 간호교육의 통합적 고찰

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to (a) synthesize nursing education literature using a smartphone for Korean nursing college students based on Whittemore and Knafl’s integrative five-step review method and to (b) evaluate the quality appraisal of each article using Gough’s weight of evidence. Methods: Articles published in Korea were identified through electronic search engines and scholarly websites using a combination of three search terms, including nursing student, smartphone, and education. Scientific, peer-reviewed articles in nursing education for Korean college nursing students, written in Korean or in English, and published between January 2000 and May 2018 were included in this review. Thirteen papers met the inclusion criteria and had above average ratings in quality appraisals. Results: Three characteristics related to nursing education using a smartphone were derived: (a) as a familiar media, motivating learning and enabling self-directed learning, (b) for the purpose of education or evaluation utilizing the educational movie of application, and (c) the iterative exercise of smartphone usage reinforces student learning. Conclusion: Smartphone use is an effective tool for improving nursing knowledge and skills for nursing college students in nursing education. Future research is needed to standardize smartphone applications across schools for nursing education.
