도시성장에 따른 도시 공간구조 및 기능 변화에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 공간구문론(Space Syntax)을 활용하여 진주시 도시공간구조 변화과정의 특성을 파악하고 가로체계에 따른 도심기능의 변화를 진주시 토지이용계획과 상호관련하여 분석하는 것이다. 둘째, 향후 혁신도시계획에 따른 진주시 도심기능과 도시 가로체계 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 연구의 방법은 공간구문론을 활용하여 도시의 성장과 변화에 대한 도시 공간 구조적 해석의 정량적 분석방법을 제시한다. 진주시 도시공간구조의 변화과정에서 가로체계에 따른 도심기능 변화의 상관관계, 도시성장에 따른 선적확산, 도심의 위계변화를 분석하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 분석한 결과 도시공간구조는 면적인 확산에 따라 발전되고 있었지만 도심기능은 주요 가로체계에 따라 선적으로 확산되며 발전하고 있었다. 진주시는 주변지역과의 연계가 공간구조상 매우 중요하며 도심기능을 받아줄 수 있는 가로체계가 필요하다. 또한 가로체계 뿐이 아닌 도시공간구조와 도심의 기능이 서로 부합할 수 있도록 계획되는 것이 타당하다. 따라서 혁신도시계획에 이를 반영해 계획 한다면 도시공간구조가 체계적으로 발전 가능함을 제안할 수 있다. This study aims to present objective and quantitative analysis method investigating urban growth of spatial configuration using Space Syntax. Especially, this paper examines how urban spatial structure in Jinju has been transformed historically by analyzing changes of urban functions according to accessibility of streets in terms of transformation of street network. A brief summary of the study results is as follow: first, urban spatial structure of Jinju shows continued linear development in terms of distribution of accessibility of streets. Second, the urban spatial structure is developed with regional expansion but the function of urban accessibility core shows a linear and differentiated development. Third, the relationship between urban spatial structure and the functions of the urban core can be explained by investigating positive interrelationship of spatial accessibility and land use plan. Finally, this paper suggests implication on land use plan and spatial development strategy based on the analysis of spatial accessibility in Innovation City Plan of Jinju.
