Cultural difference and interference have become major keywords that spread and transmit mass culture. Movie icons in particular serve to lead functions of mass culture. Pondering substantively over the way visual media interfere with text media and give rise to differences or the way they are branching out could serve as a key leading to a more profound understanding of contemporary culture. From a textual standpoint, 'Bug Story'(1984) is an epic description symbolizing 'Kwangju' intensely and metaphorically. Comparing and analyzing the way it is modulated through 'Milyang' (2007), an adjacent genre, or the way the politics of the differences is sublimated aesthetically could be a thesis that helps distinguish between interference in terms of genre and its descriptive differences. 'Milyang' portrays again the importance of description in a movie by constructing, by means of a movie,outstanding descriptive techniques of the original text and theme. In other words, this means a towering achievement of the movie mechanism as an 'aesthetical torture' toward which Lee, Chang-Dong's movie is oriented.
