        Most of X - ray equipments using in the department of radiology use high voltage. By the way, electrical shock can be occurred by outworn of the equipment, defect of it or handle with carelessness. Hence careful control is required for X - ray equipments. Recent, Medical Act was amended to appoint the responsible person for safe control of radiation equipments. But safe control of electrical side is rather careless. We cannot emphasize electrical safety too much. In the meantime, we cannot obtain safety by itself though the construction for medical electric equipments are appropriate. To obtain safety of the equipments, usage, maintenance and systematic instruction for the equipments are needed. It needs to periodically inspect electric resistance, insulation resistance, armoring leakage current, etc. It offers the patient and the persons concerned comfort and safe working environment.

      • 진단X-선장치용 공진형 인버터에 관한 연구

        This paper is to study a resonant high frequency inverter which uses the parasitic LC circuit parameters of the high voltage transformer as resonant componants. The diagnostic X-ray equipment using resonant high frequency inverter is superior to the conventional single or three phase X-ray equipment and non-resonant inverter system. The results of the study are as follows ; -. It is possible to lesson the weight and size of high voltage power supply system for X-ray generator. -. It is superior to the conventional type in reproductivity for X-ray tube voltage, current and exposure time. -. It is possible to obtain X-ray image of good quality, reduce medical exposure dose and lengthen the life of X-ray tube. -. This kind of circuit topology is actually useful to minimize the tube voltage ripple by means of using the stray capacitance of high voltage feeding cables as the smooth capacitor.

      • 의료용 X-선 장치의 기준규격에 대한 최근 경향

        The quality control for radiation generator must be performed because radiation has both faces of merit and demerit. If the quality control is not performed, it bring about life shortening of X-ray equipment and increase of exposure dose of patient. and so, the Korean Government has performed the quality control of diagnostic X-ray equipment by pre-inspection and post inspection. For quality control, standards are required. Recently, new standards in medical X-ray equipment were amended and previous standards were abolished. In this paper, we introduce, analyze these new standards and compare these with previous standards. The results are as follows: - Standards in diagnostic X-ray equipment, diagnostic X-ray generator and dental diagnostic X-ray generator were unified into standards in medical X-ray equipment. - The latest international standards (IEC601-1(1995)) were reflected. - Standards for electromagnetic wave damage were established. - Standards in inverter X-ray equipment were established. - Inspection standards of tube voltage, tube current, exposure time and mAs were amended on equal terms with those of IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) and JIS(Japan Industrial Standards) For keeping up the best equipment performance and reducing exposure dose of patient, It seems necessary that medical center performs voluntarily periodical inspection through selecting needful test items of new standards in medical X-ray equipment.

      • 유선질환에서 Keratin 출현도에 관한 면역 조직화학적 관찰

        To observe the epithelial staining reaction and the distribution of cytokeratin in carcinoma and a variety of benibn breast diseases, immunohistochemical studies were carried out with paraffin embedded sections. The studies consisted of 16 cases of infiktrating duct carcinoma, 1 case of medullary carcinoma, 16 cases of fibroadenoma and 28 cases of fibrocystic diseases. Method of immunohistochemical staining was PAP(peroxidase-antiperoxidase)method. The results were as follows: 1. The weakly positive reaction with keratin were observed in 13 cases out of 16 cases of infiltrating duct carcinoma and the positivities in the epithelial of the hyperplastic ducts adjacent to carcinoma were stronger than that of carcinomas. 2. The weakly to moderately positive reactions with keratin were observed in 13 cases out of 16 cases of fibroadenoma and the positivities in the epithelial of the pericanalicular area were stronger than that of the intracanalicular area. 3. The weakly to moderately positive reactions with keratin were observed in all 28 cases of fibrocystic diseases. Adenosis and epithelial hyperplasia revealed stronger positive staining than those of fibrosis and cystic disease. 4. Therefore, reactivities of epithelial cytokeratin were stronger in the epithelium of benign condition than carcinomas and in more differentiated carcinoma than less differentiated one.

      • 사전검사후 진단용X선장치의 품질관리

        The property of x - ray equipment is changed by use condition and period, and so to maintenance the property of equipment in primary level is very important to get image information of high quality with minimum x-ray dose. Diagnostic x- ray equipment meantime has not been tested since it was inspected once by public inspection institute. Recently, Medical Act was amended to do continuously quality control for diagnostic x - ray equipment after pre - inspection. Centering around test items of diagnostic x - ray equipment in safe control regulations, this paper presented test method, test period and measurement equipments for quality control. It seems necessary to instruct continuously radiotechnicians and quality control workers practical technique as well as theory about this contents. Moreover, it seems necessary to do quality control of diagnostic x - ray equipment about considerable items of pre - inspection item (table 1) in a viewpoint of aggressive quality control.

      • 진단용X선장치의 방사선 안전관리에 관한 고찰

        X-ray equipments for patient's diagnosis need quality control. The quality control can be consider in mechanical. electrical and functional aspect. and radiation safety aspect, etc. The aim of radiation safety control is to get maximum of image output at minimum of radiation exposure through to prevent patient and radiological technologist from unnecessary exposure. For this. hospitals have performed quality control with priority given to the rules for safety control of ministry of health & welfare. But, from the active point of view. radiation safety control needs to perform quality control with priority given to the rules for pre-inspection of ministry of health & welfare. Those rules are more important when an X-ray tube or a beam limiting device is changed or repaired. In this paper, we described about radiation safety control of quality control. Pre-inspection and post inspection were compared. standards and testing method were introduced and methods for radiation safety control were presented. For radiation safety control of diagnostic X-ray equipments. it seems necessary to perform activity as follows: - continuous safety consciousness for radiation safety - purchase and control of measurement tools for self safety control - periodical testing of diagnostic X-ray equipments - maintaining record and considering a countermeasure of test results.

      • 디지털 X선촬영장치의 성능관리

        Recently. diagnosis X -ray equipment is being exchanged with digital x-ray equipment. These are the system that interpret with the monitor through digital image processing instead of by x-ray film. There is a computed radiography(CR) system and a digital radiography(DR) system. The digital system creates a digital image, makes database of it and is connected with a P ACS. Meantime, the quality control for the diagnosis X -ray equipment has been execute periodically every 3 year by the inspection method of national standard. The Inspection for the quality control consisted of electrical safety, radiation safety and system performance. But the quality control for the digital part of the CR and the DR system has not been executed. Therefore, self quality control of the digital part is necessary in order to maintain optimal performance of the system. In this paper we described the relation items for the self quality control of digital x-ray equipment. For the self quality control of the system, We introduced the theoretical background, the inspection items which can be performed by the user of the system to the safety control team or the service man. Moreover. overall and useful matters for the self quality control were presented. Also, the subjective(psychological) inspection methods as well as the objective(physical) inspection methods referred from this main text is needed. these are ROC method and the method using a real patient image. Finally, for getting a high quality image from the digital x-ray equipment, it seems necessary to perform the following activities as well as necessary inspection items in the clinic periodic upgrade of the operational software of the equipment. - getting the digital information for adapting at rapid change of digital environment. - the activity for information interchange for self quality control, etc.
