This study will focus on the rehabilitation of the boundary space where apartment complex, commercial buildings and existing underground infrastructure intersect, by applying Facade-Poche, which recognizes architecture and city as integrated space. This area has strong possibilities that is to satisfy the user and anonymous pedestrian needs through the designated spatial territory that different types of urban fragments meet. ‘The boundary space’ is defined as the linkage between existing underground infrastructure and commercial buildings above ground as well as the privately owned public space between street stores and apartment complex. Despite quantitative expansion of public space, the lack of link system and entrance with existing facilities and illegally use caused disconnection of pedestrian flow and circulation. This study will propose a design guideline to improve current institutional framework and effectively manage the privately owned public space, with installation architecture which is flexible and temporally occupied depending on user’s purpose.
도시생활형 자전거 관련시설 및 자전거 정보서비스 개선방안 연구

This research focuses on the enhancement of urban bicycle transportation facilities and information service method for the urban bike, which considers the safe use of bike path and convenient use of bicycle parking in the city. Although a law enforcement on the use of bike had been established at 1995, bike paths were not designed to create a exclusive path for bike use. The rate of bike accidents surpassed the rate of bike usage. In response to this existing situation, this study proposes an enhanced design guideline of the bike path in Incheon old city area, through the analysis of the existing bike path. For the safety and convenience, the bike path should provide the priority of crossing for bike users, and service facilities such as transit parking space, rest area, and service station, and information services that shares road situation such as slope, road width, and intersection configuration. This paper will provide a method that enhances the physical configuration of existing bike path and propose an exclusive bike path design, an environmentally friendly bike parking design, a web-base information technology, and RFID system that enables automatic rental system.
