A computer program for automatic deriving the symbolic equations of motion for robots using the programming language MATHEMATICA has been developed. The program, developed based on the Lagrange formalism, is applicable to the closed chain robots as well as the open chain robots. The closed chains are virtually cut open, and the kinematics and dynamics of the virtual open chain robot are analyzed. The constraints are applied to the virtually cut joints. As a result, the spatial closed chain robot can be considered as a tree structured open chain robot with kinematic constraints. The topology of tree structured open chain robot is described by a FATHER array. The FATHER array of a link indicates the link that is connected in the direction of base link. The constraints are represented by Lagrange multipliers. The parallel robot, DELTA, having three-dimensional closed chains is modeled and simulated to illustrate the approach.

The flow regulators for PCA used widely have some disadvantages. Each one has only one fixed flow rate and it has somewhat large ranges of outflow. In this study, a new type of regulator was developed which employed the annual clearance concept. The design parameters were obtained using the analysis program. It was proved through prototype experiments that the new type of regulator could control flow rate properly.

본 연구의 목적은 편마비 환자와 같이 정상 보행이 아닌 경우의 보행 실험에서 힘측정판을 이용한 지면반발력의 측정이 매우 어려웠던 경험에서 출발하여 힘측정판을 사용하지 않고 운동학적 데이터만으로 보행 중 발생하는 지면반발력을 계산하는 것이다. 3차원 동작분석 시스템과 동기화된 힘측정판을 이용하여 보행실험을 실시하여 3차원 동작분석 시스템으로부터 보행의 운동학적 데이터를 추출하였고 이로부터 보행주기를 검출하였다. 인체를 13개의 체절로 모델링하고 각 체절의 거동이 추출한 운동학적 데이터를 따르도록 하였다. 각 체절의 질량과 질량 중심은 인체측정학의 자료를 이용하였다. 보행실험에서 측정한 지면반발력과 운동학적 데이터만을 이용한 계산 결과의 비교에서 크기가 가장 큰 수직방향은 잘 일치하였고 전후방향이나 횡방향도 유사한 경향을 보였다. 본 계산 결과는 보행에 관한 역동역학 해석의 기본 자료로 활용할 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to compute the ground reaction forces during gait in the absence of force plates. The difficulties in using force plates for hemiparetic patients inspired us to initiate this study. Level-walking experiments were performed using a three-dimensional motion analysis system with synchronized force plates. Kinematic data were obtained from the three-dimensional trajectories of reflective markers. Gait events were also detected from the kinematic data. The human body was modeled as 13 rigid segments. The mass and the center of mass of each segment were determined from anthropometric data. Vertical ground-reaction forces obtained from the kinematic data were in good agreement with those obtained using the force plate. The computed and measured values of anterior and lateral ground reaction showed similar tendencies. The computation results can be used as the basic data for inverse dynamic analysis.

Flow rate simulations of the proposed flow regulator were performed using computational fluid dynamics program CFD to provide the design data in advance for detail design. After making the prototypes. the simulation results were compared with the experiment results to verify the analysis models. The parameters that have effects on the flow rates were analyzed with the verified models.
운동화 중창의 작업 자동화를 위한 인라인 3D 스캐너 개발

A shoe midsole is manufactured by the phylon mold method in which each product is manufactured successively with differing dimensions due to deformation, and it hinders the automation of shoe manufacture with issues such as size inspection or cement spraying. To address this drawback, it is necessary to perform real-time 3D scanning of the inline conveyor. For the footwear industry, a 3D scanner should have the necessary precision, reasonable cost, and processing speed higher than a commercially available 3D scanner. The optical non-contact method with a line laser is adopted for 3D shape measurement. A laser stripe extraction method and a mathematical model for constructing 3D information are proposed. Unique jig shape and a mathematical method for estimating machine parameters are also expressed. The method of extracting meaningful features from the acquired point cloud and treating the abnormal data in toe and heel is discussed.
반복적 양측 운동학습에 따른 대뇌 및 소뇌 피질 활성화

The aim of this study was to evaluate effects of short-tenn repetitive-bilateral excercise on the activation of motor network using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The training program was performed at 1 hr/day, 5 days/week during 6 weeks. Fugl-Meyer Assessments (FMA) were performed every two weeks during the training. We compared cerebral and cerebellar cortical activations in two different tasks before and after the training program: (1) the only unaffected hand movement (Task 1); and (2) passive movements of affected hand by the active movement of unaffected hand (Task 2). fMRI was performed at 3T with wrist flexion-extension movement at 1 Hz during the motor tasks. All patients showed significant improvements of FMA scores in their paretic limbs after training. fMRI studies in Task 1 showed that cortical activations decreased in ipsilateral sensorimotor cortex but increased in contralateral sensorimotor cortex and ipsilateral cerebellum. Task 2 showed cortical reorganizations in bilateral sensorimotor cortex, premotor area, supplemetary motor area and cerebellum. Therefore, this study demonstrated that plastic changes of motor network occurred as a neural basis of the improvement subsequent to repetitive-bilateral excercise using the symmetrical upper-limb ann motion trainer.
