This paper was performed on the measurement of the chemicals emitted from electrical products using full scale test chamber method. The main pollutants emiited were VOCs, TVOC(Total Volatile Organic Compounds) and HCHO compared the guideline of Green Guard in USA.<BR> As the environmental pollution has been increasing and people who spend much time in the house and office, their awareness that they need to live indoors is increasing. Cause of indoor environmental pollution occurring these days are not only constructional materials such as glue and paint but also living supplies and electric home appliances. In this report we try to know how much they threaten us in the experimental chamber by measuring polluting substance from electric home appliances.
서울 일부 학교의 교육활동에 따른 실내공기질 실태 조사

The survey was performed on the recent problem about the indoor air quality of the school. The IAQ of class room, computer(I.T.) room, and science lab have been measured, targetted on the new-built schools. CO₂, PM10, HCHO, TVOC, which are the main pollutants, have been analyzed to evaluate the IAQ. In addition, a survey of questionnaire, the students, teaching staffs, parents and administrator has been done to find out the recognition of the IAQ. The conclusion has been obtained after the experiment process mentioned above.<BR> According to the result of PM10, the hour when it rests and lunch time are activity of the students is busy that shows a high peak. Than the scientific thread where the cleaning condition is filthy price of the PM10 was higher cleaning condition purify one general classroom.<BR> According to the result of CO₂, the consistency of shutting tightly condition classroom 4 times of circulation condition classroom consistency revealed a high shame. Such result it will follow in circulation degree of classroom and there is circulation degree of classroom possibility the CO₂ consistency changing.<BR> According to the result of TVOC, the result showed 7 times higher rate than the compared regulated standard of government. also as in the ventilation situation the rate showed twice times higher rate showing the seriousness of the matter. The result performed in the lab was especially higher.<BR> According to the result of HCHO, we were able to get a exceeding result compared regulated standard of government. Especially the result measured from the computer lab and science lab got higher rate.
Evaluation and Assessment of Indoor Air Quality at Schools in Korea

Recently, indoor air quality (IAQ) in workplace, residential environments and schools has been concerned of people, scientists and related the public, and has recognized the healthy effects related to IAQ, specially in schools in Korea. Therefore, objectives of this study in this study were to measure and compare the perception of IAQ of selected air pollutants in Seoul from April to September 2004. Measurement place measured 2 schools of Seoul and local 9 schools (by Kyonggi Province, Chungchong-bukdo Chungchong-namdo, Chollado-bukdo, Cholla-namdo, Kyongsang-bukdo, Kyongsang-namdo, Kwangju, school in Pusan each 1 place). Temperature, humidity, illumination, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, TBC (total bacteria counts), noise, PM-10, TVOCs(total volatile organic compounds), HCHO (formaldehyde) were measured simultaneously. Also, we performed a questionnaire survey of 250 students and 50 teachers about their awareness for the importance of IAQ in their schools. Among this article, we handled noise, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, TBC, TVOCs, HCHO, PM 10 in our conclusion. Major results were as follows ;<BR> Carbon monoxide (CO) was lower than indoor air standard of Korea. Carbon dioxide (CO₂) appeared that 4 schools among our sample target school exceeded in normal standard. 4 schools were almost similar with normal standard. TBC appeared that 7 schools among 11 schools were higher than standard. Noise measured school"s mean value passed exceeded standard. And school which passed over standard appeared to 7 schools among 11 schools. HCHO was exceeded 4 schools by standard that excess and certainly interrelation between school"s establishment year and facilities of construction was detected. PM10 was exposed all schools by fitness in standard. TVOCs appeared that 9 schools among 11 measurement school was exceeded health effect standard of Japan.
화학사고 발생시 화학사고물질의 실내유입에 따른 피해 최소화 방안 연구

This study was conducted to find ways to minimize damage caused by the infiltration of hazardous chemicals into the residential area in the event of a chemical accident. The investigation was conducted on major hazardous chemicals by investigating cases of indoor infiltration among chemical accidents at home and abroad. In addition, the management plan for chemical accidents at facilities classified as vulnerable facilities(housing and public facilities, research institutes, subways) was investigated. Based on these findings, the current policies were reviewed and suggestions were made to minimize damage caused by indoor infiltration in the event of chemical accidents.
